Not for your club. You guys got father-son access to future dual premiership player Ashley McIntosh in your third year and father-son access to future Brownlow medallist + premiership player Ben Cousins in your ninth year. We're entering our 14th season in the league this year and we're still probably another decade away from drafting our first F/S selection.

Go list the Eagles father sons

It isn't very long.

Currently we have Jake Waterman, who no club bid on at all when drafted.

Then its back to Cousins.

We had a Brennan who was a serviceable back pocket who didn't make 100 games or play any finals.

Lately Brisbane have been landing more father sons than the Eagles. And top quality ones at that.

You've had six father-son picks to date - McIntosh (1989), Cousins (1995), Morton (2004), Brennan (2010), A.Waterman (2014) & J.Waterman (2016). That's more than Adelaide, Brisbane, Fremantle, St Kilda & Port Adelaide. It's also the same number of F/S picks as Hawthorn, North & Sydney. West Coast are very much middle of the league in terms of the amount of F/S picks they've drafted to date.

Anyway, the point wasn't the amount of F/S picks your club has had to date. It was that your club had access to a variation of the rule in their formative years and other expansion clubs weren't given that. The way West Coast entered the league is in no way comparable to the Suns/Giants.

And Collingwood, and the Western Bulldogs, and Adelaide, and Hawthorn, even Essendon. Carlton’s about to.

Don’t just single Brisbane out.

Cooper Collins is the smokey in that age group for the suns, alongside Dylan Patterson - he has limitless potential.
Patterson showed his athletic gifts last weekend by running the 20m sprint in 2.882 seconds and having a standing vertical jump of 78cm (source). Both results would have had him ranked 2nd in the country if he had taken part in the national combine last year. Addinsall also jumped an impressive 92cm in the running vertical jump as well as 76cm in the standing vertical jump. Would have had him ranked in the top 10 of the national combine in both categories last year.

This year surely sees Dyson Sharp and Ollie Greeves separate themselves or potentially sees them both pulled back in the pack.

Have seen a kid called Callum Smith, I believe he is one of KB’s grand kids. Good size, neat skills. Will be interested to see how he goes at Caulfield and oakleigh.

You are right it is not comparable…. Suns and Giant got way more first round draft pick concessions.

athletically gifted, but can play the game as well, and has equisitie skills and workrate.

Looks like Callum Twomey's gone early with one.

Duursma will absolutely be up there, but be hard to go past Sharp for mine. Greeves only a hair behind as well. Having said that, he's been 'quieter' in the first two weeks this season due to a lot more attention. Be interesting to see how he responds next game.

I expect Jevan Phillipou to get a bit more respect as well. He's top 10 on talent.

Don't know if you guys have heard about this kid Blair Hille. this 07 born has came to my attention lately and I have watched him play and been impressed. He has struggled with injuries the last 3-4 years but he is certainly a player to look out for.

Who does he play for?

What type of draft is the 2025 shaping up as positionally? 2024 seems to be a midfield dominant draft is the same for the following year?
