Couldnt see the eagles taking swaddling at 19 just because he's a west Aussie. Especially with robey,barker and LeRay still there

Dovaston again showing why he is the premium small forward in this draft with 2 goals to half time for the ranges. Surprised he isn’t spoken about more as a top 10 pick. I’d have him above Kako from last year.

Robey, Greeves and X.Taylor showing plenty too. Robey not getting as much midfield time this week.

Rory Wright the stand out for Sandy so far.

Probably, but he still wins plenty of ground balls regardless of the free kicks.

Greeves ball use has dramatically improved since the start of this year. His shorter kicking is fantastic.

Dovaston with another ground ball win and tackle break, sets up Robey who kicks his third.

Shame that Jack Dalton’s kicking is so bad….You’d be hard pressed to find a better repeat runner in junior footy, but I’m not sure he’ll be able to overcome the poor kicking.

Was huge today and deserved BOG medal…was like a brick wall back there. If the Bombers have 3 picks in the top 10 he has to be 1 of them

Personally I think he’s gone past Josh Lindsay.

Yeah I was pretty keen on Lindsay early and I wouldn’t begrudge us taking him…but I’m pretty sold on Taylor and Cumming being 2 of our picks

Would be a great combo for the bombers. Very keen for Cumming to be an Eagle.

There’s a couple of SA kids that look promising towards the end of the 2R.

Schubert would also make an excellent CHB.

Ainsworth and Thredgold (BOG for SANFL colts GF, absolutely shut down the Bison). I’d take both above Cody Curtin at this stage.

I'm very strong on Blake Thredgold too, would love the Giants to select him with one of our picks in the 30s. Not near 200 cm though, but probably the best pure tall defender outside of Harry Dean this year. Little bit hidden away due to his injury. Not that I have any claim to good judgement in junior footballers, but the reports and limited vision I've seen on him looks good.

Sorry, not tracking Ainsworth. Do you mean Sam Ainsworth? He's nearly 200 cm but isn't he a forward-ruck? You're thinking about putting him down the back to try, similar to your comment about making Schubert a CHB?

I think with the direction the game is heading with ruck rules you're going to want a KPF and a KPD that can ruck and then ideally a Luke Jackson type that can ruck but also win clearances at CBAs.

Schubert is a bit different. Exceptional back shoulder player, reads the flight so well, very athletic and again can ruck. Will make a better KPD than KPF at AFL level IMO. If WCE drafted him I’m sure we’d be playing him in defence.

Strange when CDT, Emmett and Zac McCarthy all playing a similar role for Vic Metro and they were hardly flush with quality talls otherwise.

agreed, to be fair. The draft crop this year hasn't got many superstar quality calls bar Schubert and the potential of Curtin. Wasn't needed back there is the only explanation I can think of
