Out of interest, does anyone know when we last drafted a big bodied inside mid? By big bodied I mean 188cm or more and the sort who is fairly solid?

mills maybe, if you count him as solid

With how well we're going this year, we may get a pick before the King bid which will be a positive
Well the way we're going, he could be and we'd still have a pick before the bidKing looks promising but he is not a player who seems to be in serious consideration for a top 10 draft selection.

Nope.
Have been keen on Long, Kemp, Treacy, McAuliffe, Michael Johnson and Hustwaite of which we drafted none.
Mixed bag but all tall and had mid exposure.
Roos brought in JPK & gifted Horse with a decent hardened squad.Out of interest, does anyone know when we last drafted a big bodied inside mid? By big bodied I mean 188cm or more and the sort who is fairly solid?

He added butter to give the squad a nice looking gloss but it also softened the squad up.
I remember last year in the draft there were around 3 key forwards we were all interested in, and we were shocked when around 2 of them slid to our pick. We were sure that the Swans would pick one of them, and yet we went for a player who plays in a position we don't really need, playing a role that is not particularly defined.

Armstrong, Shannahan and Gerreyn for mine. But think may have had a Whitlock.
Think we were hoping for Trainor and got sniped by Tigers
Significant clear out needed from this list as we have a lot of youngsters who are simply not good enough nor have a decent future for senior footy.
Firing line are Mitchell, Buller, Kirk, W Edwards (so disappointing), Sheldrick
I reckon one of the last “big bodied” fielder we drafted was George Hewitt…………Out of interest, does anyone know when we last drafted a big bodied inside mid? By big bodied I mean 188cm or more and the sort who is fairly solid?
