and even then we spent 8 years playing him in defence.

The inside mids we have drafted, so Sheldrick, Cleary and maybe Rowbottom have all been shorter, and none of them were picked using top draft selections.

King looks promising but he is not a player who seems to be in serious consideration for a top 10 draft selection.

Have been keen on Long, Kemp, Treacy, McAuliffe, Michael Johnson and Hustwaite of which we drafted none.

Mixed bag but all tall and had mid exposure.

We missed an opportunity to get value for certain players when they were holding out for big contracts. The club folded. Hayward, Florent etc. If it’s not an easy signature then let them go. Now we have long contracts to players that dish out some of the poorest efforts we’ve seen from a Swans team in years but the same lot that fold in GFs.

I remember last year in the draft there were around 3 key forwards we were all interested in, and we were shocked when around 2 of them slid to our pick. We were sure that the Swans would pick one of them, and yet we went for a player who plays in a position we don't really need, playing a role that is not particularly defined.

Roos brought in JPK & gifted Horse with a decent hardened squad.
He added butter to give the squad a nice looking gloss but it also softened the squad up.

Yes, so we are really going back to 2009. It is no wonder our midfield is undersized and gets bullied so easily.

Significant clear out needed from this list as we have a lot of youngsters who are simply not good enough nor have a decent future for senior footy.

Firing line are Mitchell, Buller, Kirk, W Edwards (so disappointing), Sheldrick

Was it around the same time we invested a decent draft pick on a KPD?

Lucky we chose Bowman because we have a real need for a skinny low possession forward flanker

Sheldrick surely has to be given a solid go in the firsts.

Leading possession getter & most contested possessions on the ground in the VFL today.

Yes his kicking has been messy, but he was good today & surely deserves a go, given the awful performances put in by some of the “untouchables” today (McI, Lloyd, Hayward).

Sheldrick will likely be traded at year end regardless - but to leave him languishing as a sub or VFL player is a waste at this point.

The others you’ve listed are surely out the door.
