Am sure the AFL establishment aren’t keen on us for obvious reasons. Player managers smell blood and are like sharks starting a feeding frenzy. And the media want controversy and clicks. All a nice combination of ‘people’.

If we just sat there being nice boys we are aren’t going to get up the ladder. There is a ruthlessness going on that we aren’t really used to. It is nerve wracking. But they have to try something.

No one is really privy to what is going on. So all these interests along with nervous supporters are up in arms.

If we just sit back and pay everyone what they want we aren’t going to get too far. I hope and pray we get it right. We’ll just have to wait and see. Wouldn’t like it though if we just folded the tent.

Kevin Bartlett didn't go near Richmond for decades until certain people left the club. I don’t think Wilkie aired this, and I suspect he wouldn’t be very happy that it got out. For him to air his grievances to his manager is normal, and all players would do it.

I’d say the manager is the one who leaked this.
