I’ll do whatever it takes to convince myself it’s not the end of the world

It's not the end of the world. The sun will rise again no matter what he does. He's our best player sure...but he is ONLY one player. We will either get fair/okayish compo (even though it won't look like it initially) or we will do very well out of it. The draft is a lotto no matter if it's a bad/compromised draft or not. We have recruitment guys in place nowadays that have a good strike rate.
Losing NAS is less than ideal, and it'll be shit watching him play for Port...but it won't kill us.
Nature abhors a vacuum. Something of equal value will fill the space of equal value one way or the other.

No, just making the point, when Gringo mentioned “late bloomer” that we have many - Ro, Wilkie, Sharman, Hall, Sinclair….none of whom were drafted first up.

The way it works with Sandy. 44 on the list, 26 for game day so the rest is made up of ressies and VFL players.

We need small & medium forwards so why not have a look at Tex Wanganeen. He is only young 21yo and was pretty thin when first drafted. If he works out add him to the list if not give him a contract at Sandringham.
