I'm pretty pumped for TDK to come to us, he's still got upside and I think he's an upgrade over Marshall for both short and long term. Also strikes me as someone who could be pretty marketable for us.
And he has the same hairstyle as Harley Reid too 😁

Dr Spaceman can you use your talents to do a gif of Ben Williams in a Where's Wally/Waldo scenario? Thanks
Where’s Ben Ben?

Ignoring the TDK side of things cause I agree that contract reportedly is madness.

I cannot see a single reason for choosing JSos over Leek.

Leek has him athletically, is younger with more theoretical potential and doesn’t get injured (yet).

JSos is a better kick but realistically they’re both going to be in the same realm of money and tier of player. Why not go for the younger one who at least has much higher upside.
Silvagni is a FA, is a much better player and we need to get our skates on… i.e start winning games in 2026.

Always remember, the Swans got Heeney straight after losing a grand final!
and paid pick 18, which is probably the highest a pick has been paid for an academy kid

And we walked Luke Ball for nothing after losing a GF, for him to go on and win one, against us....
So? One was our choice, the other was outrageous academy concessions.

Or to put it another way, Heeney meant that the Swans could loose a player like Ball for whatever reason, and have that nullified, by getting Heeney the same year for next to nothing.

I’m not saying that there have not been mistakes made, every club makes them, especially ours. But to suggest that those mistakes somehow justify a patently unequal drafting process is insane.

You need to separate the two things in your mind. Because they are two separate things. If not, hope you enjoy your mass self conflation.

Out.

Yeah and he would have gone pick 1 or 2. (Let’s not get into the best pick for pick 1 that year!!!). Colingwood also got their Captain Amundsen father son for Pick 9, whist we are at it.
I'm saying they had to use pick 18, which I believe is the highest pick used to get an Academy kid, as opposed to 4 picks in the 40's, it's cheap, but not as cheap as the crap going on today. They didn't get to manipulate picks for points

Remember when we lost Ian Stewart? We deserve everything we get in 2025 because of then.
Losing Roy Cazaly was even worse. No wonder the AFL won't help us.

The point is that mismanagement has been ongoing for the club. I am a 28 year member and this has generally been the way, save for short periods.
