No interest in Flanders. What am I missing?

You don't rate him? He's been ordinary out of position but was huge last year. He's a potential star still IMO. He's having to play outside the midfield to make way for others and is being wasted.

Nas signing is just so huge in so many ways. The fork in the road came and without Nas it would have been a really hard hit on field but devastating commercially.

It's real air in the sails stuff and hopefully the cheap memberships and show of faith from Nas translate to fuller stadiums and better TV exposure. Huge for attracting talent, sponsors and new fans too.

We haven't had much to celebrate since 2010 but this is a huge moment for us. We hit the future with a genuine elite level talent with a bunch of kids who should improve with exposure.

Like winning form, positivity and momentum are hard to create from nothing. This is organic and home grown. I don't give praise lightly but this has made me proud of the club and Nas and I tip my hat to all those that got this sorted and signed.

It's also nice to be on the forum without an anxiety riddled fan base eating each other. Sorry for my bad behaviour during the whole period and well done all involved in bringing this to a positive outcome.
No receipts. Even the most sceptical and jaded Saints supporter would be delighted today.
Said all along it would be a disaster to lose NAZ for myriad reasons. Happily we didn't lose him......yet.
But don't expect him to sign again if we don't start performing in the field. Up to coaches, staff, teammates to all lift to show Naz his decision is the right one.

I do like the way we have performed since the bye. Even the losses showed our fight and we hadn't thrown in the towel. Even our worst game became the biggest 4th qtr comeback in history. Now four straight. Manage a win v GWS and I will have 2003 vibes.

On another topic qrnt to look at the Port board, why are they so insecure they have to have Port Adelaide est 1870, when they are Port Power est 1997?

Oh and the copium, we are irrelevant be on the bottom for the next ten years blah blah blah, all very bitter 😆😆

That young gun brain cell #6 thinks Naz is a FA in two years 😆😆

One other thing our club hasn't given up on a non finals year like the Power have done, they have embarrassed themselves and I am sure this would have been a factor in Naz's thinking. That team has no spirit or character. No wonder Butters wants out and Rozee is banging everything on two legs.

Steele replacement?

Winning games makes a draft pick worse, but it is better for the young lads to grind out wins, and be fighters.

Beat GWS and suddenly the off season is looking better.

Steele replacement?

Would be a serious upgrade on current form. Just don't see Steele getting us enough to be worth trading him so would need to be as well as I imagine. Pushing one of Steele or Macrae out would be pretty handy but he can play a bit more outside too if needed. I think in a lesser midfield he could potentially be an absolute prime mover. Anderson and Rowell aren't giving up spots easily. He'd be so much better getting out of there.

My dad is 67, and his response to the signing in the family chat was as follows...

We are in Kenya at the moment and my wife texted our daughter ( a lapsed Saints supporter) to get two three game memberships for them both. Now this is a big thing. My wife's whole family are Bulldogs fans, my daughters partner is a Bulldog fan, and my wife doesn't even like football and has never even had a Bulldogs membership.
And while you may think I am wasting my time on a footy forum instead of my holiday, we are on an 8 hour drive to a national park and it has pissed down all day so nothing else to do. Who knew Kenya was so cold 13 degrees and foggy 😳😳😳

He would be a upgrade on a few of our mids we currently have

Heard some interesting stuff today from a source that also gave me a heads up on NAS resigning for 2 years over the weekend. This has had a flow on effect, TDK no longer being offered the amount we’ve seen thrown around, still a solid chance to sign with us but things have changed significantly $$ wise. Likely that SOS has gone into negotiation mode, appreciate landscape has changed.

The TDK offer has been reduced? How would Connors management react and how would that affect any future trades/ability to work with him in the future. That has always been the argument against reducing TDK offer.

Hard to see TDK staying at Carlton now after all the disruption his trade talk has caused.
