I will say i was planning to head down to Moorabbin for training regardless as I've never been! Also got my newspaper signed so was worth it!

Friday also had the bonus for me of meeting and then chatting with Eamonn's parents and brother for half an hour at training.

I go often. It is only 20 minutes from home, and if I go to see my elderly Dad, it is only small detour on the route and I was going to see him last Friday anyway. I watched two training sessions last week.

In my twenties I used to go on Thursdays, watch training, play squash (yes they had squash courts back then which Social Club Members could use - cheapest squash in Melbourne then as the only cost was 20 Cents in the light meter) and then have a meal and beer in the bistro with my mate, where they would announce the team to members there first before making the teams available to the media. It made for a great Thursday!

There has been no indication from the saints, the media, Nas’ management or internal sources that the hold up is due to the saints not willing to pay him. This is just a narrative for people to feel better about his decision not being made yet so they have someone/something to blame.

Pretty open about something the list managers are usually quite coy about.

The guys a moron if he thinks Port having a future first and a compromised 2027 pick can get anything done.

Wouldn't read too much into this comments since he doesnt seem to be realistic with his estimation.

Club would have to believe that the are still in the race for Nas, as otherwise we would not still be going full throttle developing him as a mid.

In today's game Hall was barely used as at the Centre Ball Ups. Being just re-signed, if they thought Nas was going (and they may not still know either way), you would imagine it would be full steam ahead playing Hall there instead of Nas.

You're kidding right , its about winning games and playing bokes where it gives us the best chance to win , this childish outlook that if he is not staying don't play in in the guts is rubbish , take a look at the NRL , they say they are leaving at the start of the year

The optimist in me thinks this is what they're desperately trying to tell Nas and that he hasn't made a commitment to them.

They dont always play guys that are leaving in the NRL (look at Parramatta with Dylan Brown) and for AFL we have TDK being watsed up forward.

FWIW i dont think Nas playing midfield minutes means anything at all to us or Port (or whoever).

I think its actually more a culture thing but also where the team is at.

Parra wont play finals and is already looking to get some experience into the team for 26. You also cant push up a players value in the NRL because they dont trade.

Again, Nas playing in the midfield doesnt mean we know anything about him staying or going, its just not really comparable to the NRL.
