He’s improving our team 10-20% by himself so where that needle finishes up depends on the rest of the players.
I don’t believe that, we’ve been worse since we started playing team Nas football.

He’s of maximum use to us playing team first football and always taking the best available option. Take a look at his stats this year, 2nd in total clangers and clangers per game, 2nd in turnovers per game 1st in total turnovers.

And this is why I just can't see him leaving as his manager must realise this. Anyways, we will see what happens.

Why wouldn’t port just offer what they have and say take it or leave it. Really if Nas is intent of joining port we have the threat of being forced into the draft and little more.

If he’s open to joining Adelaide our bargaining power may improve but not by much. We’re faced with getting nothing or potentially accepting future 1st rounders, which are you going to take ?.

I think the elephant in the room is, Port miss Naz AND lose Butters.
Hard times.
It would be smart business if they know butters is leaving next year, multiple picks beats a compo pick and it will help secure Nas.

Here’s the problem, he’ll be a restricted free agent meaning they can match and maybe get a very good return. There’s always the possibility that he stays.

Never mind the fielder who dropped the catch on the boundary line that went for 6t hat was he thinking not being right on the boundary in the first place?
Just like Paul Rieffel from Lance Kluezner in the semi of the World Cup in 1999, remember that Diehard Saint? 🙂😛

Been trying to lay low on here the last few days, but honestly if he goes (which I don’t expect) **** him. We get to add a massive haul to a list brimming with talent and we will outperform port for the next decade.
I feel the same. If he goes, f*** him. After all the stops the club pulled out to support him. If, and it's a big if, if he leaves he can go and get f*****.

Just old men yelling at clouds.

So let me guess, you don't think it's the cloud's fault?

Everyone has their own head canon on how this will play out.

Mines pretty simple: if he wasn’t genuine in his intent to stay, he wouldn’t be negotiating.

Because you can’t pull the wool over the clubs eyes, if you want to leave you need the saints to show some goodwill to wanting to get you home.

If Williams or Nas screw us around. We set the bar high and he doesn’t get to port.

Absolutely no to any B grade players if Nas goes regardless of their age. I can’t see a world where we’d accept 2 or 3 ok players even if they are positions we need.
Whether he knows anything or not.

Rooey on the agenda setters last week - during the segment when Kornes Hutchy Caro and himself were discussing how this deal gets done and they all agreed port don’t have the assets, said that the club wants picks not players

Battle seemed to pull the wool over their eyes.
Players were convinced he was staying.
Then Boom, he left on his broom.

Because guru Chris Scott and Simon Garlick have also now put it out there.
But they’re not “whingers” 🙄
In the end it's been AB ans RTB that have cracked the rock and Stkilda FC have copped the fallout but someone had to be the martyr.
In the end the league will screw it up again anyway so it doesn't matter what the policy is.

Whenever we discuss battle - it needs to be crystal clear that there was a benefit that the club sought in that entire saga.

That Tauru pick wasn’t some after thought. They coveted another top round pick.

So it is very different to Nas in the sense that if either side tries to screw around here. It hurts the other sides intended outcome.

If NAS-Williams pulls the wool over our eyes, we make it increasingly difficult to get back to SA.

If we do the wrong thing by them, let’s say low ball or leak something back in the media. They make negotiations more difficult or even end them.

But again, this is my head canon. Others will have their own takes on this.
