AFL rule are like rubber though. They bent the rules so they could get jhf. You just know they will finger usThere's a big barrier to Port trying to acquire Nas that hasn't been talked about. Future trading rules state clubs have to use at least two first round draft picks in a four year period.
Port Adelaide's recent history:
2019 - 2 first rounders
2020 - 1 first rounder
2021 - 1 first rounder
2022 - traded out (Horne-Francis)
2023 - traded out (Horne-Francis)
2024 - 1 first rounder
2025 - traded out (Lukosius)
Only reason they could trade in Horne-Francis was they'd banked past uses in 2019. AFL would have to grant an exemption and Port has already had one one past trade blocked for trying to stretch future trading rules.
It does seem we are throwing the kitchen sink and some.We complain they aren't doing enough. Looks as though they are trying everything.
Now up the deal to 2 x 2 mill
Got to keep trying.Nah don’t me wrong I agree with you, just hoping he 99% wants to stay and that’s something that tips him over to sign. Just thinking in my own head (without knowing anything obviously) that we try idea after idea then get to a certain point where it isn’t working that’s all

Wont happen, if he is gone we have no reason to take him.It will be funny when we take Tex to keep Nas and he walks anyway.
Was he to keep Billings happy?Wont happen, if he is gone we have no reason to take him.
Last stable pony in Sinclair worked out ok.
Guess I’m an ITK now… BONGOS FOR LONGERI remember seeing this Tex Wanganeen rumour months ago
It's tough to move away from home, especially when you work weekends. Could be missing his mothers birthday every year, and the rest of the family events. If he stays it will be great, but why does he need so much convincing?
He had concentrated on cricket so missed champs and wasn't drafted. Billings said I know a kid you could rookie. They liked what they saw so he was rookie. Was he to keep Billings happy?
True, or he could be a millionaire sports star in Melbourne shagging models. I love my family and all, but goddamn. It's tough to move away from home, especially when you work weekends. Could be missing his mothers birthday every year, and the rest of the family events.
Because Tony isn't ITK, **** all people would know if he's staying or not, maybe no one, maybe just nas and BW, maybe sos and Lyon know if he's staying or not. A receptionist or some old guy hanging round the club wouldn't know shitDay 34 of trying to work out how Tony is so confident he stays when it seems we're doing absolutely everything to try persuade him to sign
It just further reiterates how the f do they get a deal done? There's no price that will suffice but it has to be a major price if they're trying to prize out a top five player in the league at 22.Two top 10s in ordinary drafts is nowhere near enough. Butters isn't keen.

Sign Terry, I don’t give a fck at this point. We wouldsaid to nas “ would it get you over the line if we sign Tex” this would have been discussed with nas. It a massive positive
I'll have to readjust the way I speak about Billings lol, he was our best recruiter of the 2010'sHe had concentrated on cricket so missed champs and wasn't drafted. Billings said I know a kid you could rookie. They liked what they saw so he was rookie.
Worked out well in the end.
