Can you pray to God that we keep Nas pleaseEveryone is free to post what they like, just as anyone is free to respectfully request that certain terms not be used in jest.

Must be going to CrowsThe part that I absolutely don't get is that normally you'd have indications of the destination club being confident. Yet Port seem to be in the dark as much as we are. Very unusual.
And get a normal job instead? If I was Tex I wouldn’t accept out of principle.

The Tex information is relevant to this and formed the clubs confidence.
Date of the below piece is relevant to the date Tex was trying to transfer across to Sandy.
This interview was around the same time.
The fact the Tex story was leaked was to counter the rich old powerbroker story that apparently didn’t land well with the family.
In short. Nothings changed because it’s been reported now.
with this in mind surely we need to make sure we finish below Port, the way it looks right now we will finish 11th and above them,we need to retain that power to snap him up in psd if other clubs pass on himWe can though. If he was contracted, then we would be in a much stronger position. If we're being pragmatic and not emotional, a player or two and Port's two picks is the best we could expect.
Nas could walk and ask for a 5 mil, 2 year deal and he'd be snapped up by WC, to be traded to Port next year. We can't pay that money unless we trade out several senior players (or abandon the TDK pursuit which doesn't seem likely).
We're up shit creek with a very flimsy paddle. We're going to have to make the best of a bad situation
well i am not in the burning my membership if he leaves club, but there are some scenarios should he leave that i might not be able to recover from(reject crap offer, send him to psd, finish above port, others pass on him and port pick him up for nothing),so just gotta go with the stays option to avoid any chance of that, till its not an optionSeeme to be the overwhelming consensus.
Were an optimistic mob.
As of yesterday it wasn’t done.I’m not saying it’s been done, but IF it had been done this week, you’d announce it on Sunday.
You’re already guaranteed media focus this week after the great comeback, which is good commercially and good for some hope into the off-season (= membership). So don’t over saturate…let it ride.
So you’d play the comeback 4th quarter from last week at Marvel on Sunday, commencing 12:22 as it is. The back to back Nas goals would be on screen as the crowd builds just before teams come out. And that’s when you’d announce it, to a roar from the fans, who would cheer him all game.
Create the moment.
Another week of positive media. A press conference, etc.
All during a period of winnable games to go into the off-season with some hope.
So I have no word that it’s done. But if it was, thats how you’d do it.
Would be leaked by media hours earlier. Will be whenever and whatever he decides. Its not 1982I’m not saying it’s been done, but IF it had been done this week, you’d announce it on Sunday.

we are the biggest all time losers ever if we miss all the top mids, lose naz, take a stand, get nothing and port get him in the PSD,that would be a scenario i might not be able to recover from, but rejecting berry and a pick,or some other rubbish hand offered, sending him to psd and eagles or us getting him back,i could live with
What if it's the other way around? It would be great if we sign Tex Wanganeen as a ploy to retain Nas and he actually becomes a good player for us. I recall a game where he looked ok for Essendon.
I also hope our decision about giving him a chance is not entirely dependant on Nas - that seems like blackmail.
Free Qantas Club Membership ?Wonder if the club is paying for their flights. Or someone close to the club.
Would go along way to stemming homesickness when they’re coming to watch you play footy every weekend
