if he's holding out for money? then, no!Comparing Nas to them then.
Is just wrong
We’d all like that but zero chance of happeningThe AFL has to do something about this year’s draft. They can’t let the farce with all these Academy and Father-Son players play out.
Possibly the AFL puts in place bridging rules in 2025 that transitions to an uncompromised first round in 2026.
Maybe something like only being allowed to match one bid in the first round, but the bid must be matched with a later pick in the first round.
Still not good enough, but much better than what is in place.
The AFL put in place transitional rules to tighten the NGA Academies.
If you actually listen to the whole interview it sounds like port has no idea eitherCorrect.

Do you have a link to the interview? I can only find the aggregated quotes people are posting, would like to give it a listen myself. If you actually listen to the whole interview it sounds like port has no idea either
Definitely a great player and a massive, massive loss. But AFL is played with 23 on a field, and one player does not make or break a team. If we lose him, we will recover. We're not plummeting down the ladder because one player leaves, particularly if we get decent trade compensationA generation player though.
Again l state, if we dont serve up to his manager what he wants. (Nas is just letting his manager do his job)
Nas go's to Port ( win-win for him either way.)
And he goes to Port-wins a Brownlow & a Prem.
Big loss for us.
Why would Nas agree to appear at a Fan Function if he’s gonna be a no-show, contract stuff aside? From what I’ve heard it’s more likely Nas will sign on for two years, to save my own sanity I’m going to back in my (limited) information until some substantial information tells me otherwise. That means not reading into Nas’s post game interviews, Ross’s interviews that could go either way or journos shooting randomly hoping for a hit.
Also doubt Nas is going to turn up to that event, regardless if he’s signing on or not.
It was probably organized 6 months ago, with no thought to his contract situationWhy would Nas agree to appear at a Fan Function if he’s gonna be a no-show, contract stuff aside?
If he ends up leaving, yes I think most would. Would rather keep him for 2 than lose him altogetherThat's my point though.
Are we going to be upset as a fan base if the hold up is the club's reluctance to pay Nas $2m a year for 2 years for argument sake, and they only want to pay him that $2m if he signs on for longer
My mind keeps going to exactly these images of a player that was fully invested in this club.
You only have to go back 10 days to see images and actions of him being fully invested in the club.My mind keeps going to exactly these images of a player that was fully invested in this club.
People should actually listen to the audio. As non committal as anything. Even says “a lot of water to go under the bridge” with regards to getting a deal done for Nas.
Throw Nicky Winmar & Lenny Hayes up thereOkay the clapping at the 7 minute mark didn’t seem to have the desired effect, nor did the We Love You Nas signs. Time to take it up a notch.
At the 7 minute mark of the first quarter on Saturday 7 skydivers will form a letter 7 as they fall towards the MCG from some rickety old airplane.
If anyone knows how to jump, or has a parachute they are welcome to participate. But be quick as we only have 7 spots left to fill

And at 9 and at like 12/13.Talks about it at 5mins to go to save anyone the time
Well, we haven't climbed up the ladder with the other 22 either.Definitely a great player and a massive, massive loss. But AFL is played with 23 on a field, and one player does not make or break a team. If we lose him, we will recover. We're not plummeting down the ladder because one player leaves, particularly if we get decent trade compensation
Spending more time talking about Nas than Ross does. And at 9 and at like 12/13.
That’s exactly what will happen. Club won’t just accept nothing and send him to PSD. They might offer a couple of players with the picks - for example, Berry and Whitlock,They offer something mildly acceptable like two firsts (2026, 2027) and two seconds (2025, 2027) and say "it's a fair offer" and then we have to decide if we take scraps or get nothing when he walks to the PSD.
It’s such click bait quotes.Spending more time talking about Nas than Ross does.
