If NAS is truly just wanting to go home, he’ll go to Adelaide because if he goes to port they’re going to have to move Bergman and some quality picks when they’re in desperate need of rebuilding. Outside of 5 players the have arguably the worst list in the competition.
If he does go to Port then he’s not serious about winning.

Problem with SOS is he gets tunnel visioned on what he thinks is right and wrong.
He left GWS and was obsessed with taking from them what he had picked.
Leaves carlton because he thinks its unfair to spend more on betts and not offer more to existing players.
Then leaves Carlton and suddenly we are a new home for all the Carlton players he likes.
So Im not surprised the news is nas is capped at 1.4m a year for 2 years. Whilst tdk gets the greatest offer in st kilda history at 1.7m a year for 7.
He's absolutely toxic.
But the thing is any decent board or executive would step in and end this shit. Its been left to fester way too long and now its past the point of intervention.
Sadly we still don't have the leadership we deserve.

It feels like a line in the sand moment though. They need to get us at least two top ten picks surely? It's up to them to do it. Their future firsts are useless.
Honestly I'd rather just lose him for nothing and actually stand for something than take the shit that is on offer. I know it probably won't happen but we need to be willing to let it happen.

Reading this again, his report is about "advice" Nas hasn't even been told yet? And with no knowledge or insight into what Nasiah is thinking or feeling towards any club. Just that someone - potentially with a link Adelaide - is going to tell him to pick Adelaide.
Call me one-eyed but I dont think we need to be putting too much stock into this report. It seems as relevant as mail that starts in this thread.

Terry returned because his wife (Nas mum) had been very sick multiple times in their time in Melbourne, it must have been serious for him to give up his AFL career.

On the open market we'd get a kings ransom for Nas but we have to take some crap picks or let him walk to the draft.
The system is basically designed to **** over small clubs like ours. We are supposed to rely on loyalty but that appears to be dead.
If he leaves I just don't know where we go as a club. Just have to hope Pou is the next Nas I guess with his 2030 deal.

Losing him for nothing also opens the risk of him being sent to WA, or to another team. Which is something I’d love to see.
Need to show teams and players that deals need to be done, and that entering the pre-season draft doesn’t mean you get what you want
...or he signs with Saints for 2 years.
Far easier than saying **** you to mates/everyone that has supported him here...no risk...huge contract.
Probably gets there in 2 years anyway.

He's had a pretty shit season, missed some games with injury, still sitting 11th in Coaches Votes. He's a very very good player and yeah his body might fall apart but he's only 24, has 5+ years ahead of him at absolute minimum.
