The last 3 weeks have been disastrous despite getting wins, if Lyon wasn't contracted till 27 he would be in Goodwin territory… simply not getting enough out of a pretty good group at present.

Wouldn't agree it's a good group. Promising yes but a long way off it. We have a bunch of vets and a bunch of babies. Almost no one in the middle/prime age bracket.

Look i dont know how to read the interviews.
The answers weren't fantastic. But Nas isnt a huge speaker.

On one hand people seem confident that a decision is made.
And then you have the comments that dont fill you with hope.

I just don't see how we lose Windy. That would be monumentally bad. I mean so would losing Nas but at least you could understand some reason behind it.

Come on Daisey...Wilkie is a warrior but Nas is a game changer....you're not paying Wilkie to win you major games.

He may not win us games, but he certainly prevents us losing them

It's a fair way ahead of that Essendon and Richmond outfit IMO.

We shouldn't be scrapping out wins to the death against VFL shit-trucks and will pay by losing losing our best talent.

Joey and Rooey would know what is going on. Joey was absolutely confident and certain he stays. His exact words were "very confident" (not just confident) and "Saints fans should rest well". If he even had an iota of doubt, he wouldn't have said that. The way he said it was without any equivocation.

Watching Windy play the last 6 weeks or so, it just reminds me that guys seem to play their best footy with contract end dates coming up.

The 2 players we are getting certainly aren't by my eye. Just the 2 we are losing...
