To me his weapon is so good you work out how to maximise it. Brisbane are good at finding ways to get the best from individuals.

I love that people have Aleer penciled in to our starting 22.

I watched that game yesterday and it was Aleer’s best in 3 weeks and he was still a liability. 7 touches, 12m gained in 92% game time. Shoenmaker is so far ahead of this guy is laughable and has a generational left peg that a better club would have figured out how to use.

The best result for us is to loose interest in Aleer and let someone else step up. If GWS get a second for him it will be something they laugh about over beers for years to come.

I’ve now seen over half of his games including the last 3 appalling weeks, he can’t play afl standard football.

If Nas goes it is not St Kilda’s fault. They have drafted a home sick kid and developed him, and developed the club, to the point where he genuinely loves the joint and everyone in it.

He’s rolled gold and worth whatever he wants. Everyone knows it.

Why then are only 2 clubs ever mentioned in regards to a trade. And they are not the clubs with the most early draft picks or salary cap space.

But they do have 2 things in common,

They’re both based in ADELAIDE.

It is so obvious and right in front of everyone’s noses. It is a family issue and nothing else.

If he does go (I think he stays) I for one will not be blaming the club, even if others do.

The main reason is that we’re an easy target. That’s why I’m glad we’ve got Ross, Bassat and Dilena sticking up for us.

Nothing to do with Nas or list management unless, they become good footballers.
Just returned from a trip down south with Saints gear for 8 & 3yo grandsons, told my daughter if I’ve had to suffer following the Saints for over 50yrs then so can the boys!

One game left, not a home game, not even in Victoria. Three weeks till the B&F. Another month or so thereafter till trade week.

When do you think would be the optimum time to announce the re-signing?

Well with how the AFL is trying to americanise the game, I suppose it’s only a matter of time until they bring in a designated punter.

The other parties would get wind that it is all over and the news would leak. So the best thing to do would be announce at the earliest opportunity.

We all need to get a grip and get out in the world. I’ve spent more minutes than I ever needed to on this topic.

And so we should be but not sure we have that much bargaining power - we accept what's on offer or we let him walk to the draft.
