This is a such a turning point for our club. We now have a genuine star, and a bunch of up and comers, to build an actual tilt at a flag with. Add TDK and a fit King, and we could shoot up the ladder next year for sure.

This may be a stretch, but I think both the hiring of Lyon, and the fact that we didn't tank for picks at any point, has played a part in this re-signing. We're actually building a culture for a change, and I can only imagine that if Ratts or Richo had of been at the helm, Nas would have left for sure.

Bring on the next 2 years, and the next 2 after that. We're going forward for a change. The players at our club know this, hopefully we can start to convince players from other clubs (I'm looking at you, Zac Butters) as well

That’s what NAS said in his post match interview last match, “we are building a winning culture”. Somehow some people thought that meant he was inclined to leave! No matter now, I am glad we did not tank, despite asking for it, as we have our man.

TDK more important than ever now. Don’t care how much we pay him. Need to improve out of sight so we don’t face this crap in 2 years again.

Well the benefit of having such a young troop of players is they should naturally improve from here.

Barring injuries, I think we should be in the finals mix next two years. Things can switch very quickly.

Chips are on the table for 2027 now, doesn’t mean a flag is required, but have to be a legitimate threat of the comp.

he's handled him self very well for the amount of pressure he's been under. comes off better in front of the media than say Jack Steele IMO

Everyone just happy and celebrating together as Saints fans.

Let's hope the club continues moving forward in a positive fashion - like it has been.

TDK is even more important now.
We’ve seen what Marshall can do with us and we’re not a finals team.

TDK is genuinely at his best as good as Marshall around the ground and a better ruck man.

Now that we’re keeping Nas we need to go all in these next two years.

In saying that yes 1.7m is way too much for TDK but he makes us a better team.

Marshall plays better in a consistent 2 rucks on ground setup, the years with Paddy proved that for actual St Kilda watchers (and not media casuals). We need a second on ground that isn't a liability across the full course of a game. TDK improves the set up, some have wavered on him but he's a must

(before even considering the look of walking out on a FA contract that was clearly negotiated a year in advance)

Having Nas sign on for another 2 years is Watershed Moment.

If he had of went, and we had gottem unders, it could have snowballed in other players going as their contract came up for renewal, and players from other Clubs not joining us.


Nas committing will allow us to enter 2026 with some momentum. TDK will definitely sign now.
Just need Max to get his knee right for 2026 Campaign.


Hopefully we can get some other deals done too. But the 2$million per year deal is going to mean that our War Chest is very depleted.

You dream of being able to spend the money required to keep a player like Nas around.

2 years to keep building. I'm so excited.
