Yep, I was another expert who wasn't that impressed with Nas, even until fairly recently. Fair to say he's impressed me a lot more this year! Very happy to have him at St Kilda for at least 2 more years, the bloke is an out and out gun, and will improve!
Wait till you see him live.
You may have to make the trip out here for finals 😀

He's only 28 and has shown that he can be a very very good forward.

Will only be an asset to our great club, will have the support and community he needs to maximise his potential.
Personally I think he’d be a great fit there. Really strong indigenous group and in a side that actually has a midfield he’ll excel.

Would be sad to see him go but our list management has been so shit that it’s best for the club.

Going to be interesting reading to see the trades suggested, overs from us and unders from you.

How many years do you reckon he has left in the tank?

When I saw him take a run down the wing last year vs Hawthorn... I knew we had one in a million.

He's the player we have been dreaming of for 20 years.

He's on par with peak Winmar at the moment. I've seen both live, it was a different game back then. But all their attributes line up and I can't separate them.

Was good to hear Ross say the club was on the front foot about discussing the list strategy with the senior players in the preseason. Lot of media types were criticising us last week for blindsiding them with our offers for other players but we did take care of that part and look after them with those bonuses.

SOS and Gubby know what they are doing.
And…. They did it ages ago. Pre-season. Showing a lot of foresight and planning.

FB: Alix Tauru, Callum Wilkie, Leek Aleer
HB: Jack Sinclair, Anthony Caminiti, Liam Stocker
C: Darcy Wilson, Marcus Windhager, Brad Hill
HF: Max Hall, Rowan Marshall, Hugo Garcia
FF: Jack Higgins, Max King, Mitch Owens
FOL: Tom De Koning, Jack Steele, Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera

INT: Mattaes Phillipou, Jack Macrae, Tobie Travaglia, Cooper Sharman, Mason Wood

Missing: Hugh Boxshall, Zak Jones, Hunter Clark, Lance Collard, Liam Henry, Alex Dodson, Dougal Howard, Dan Butler, Jimmy Webster, Angus Hastie , Arie , Dow , Carrol

Actually not a bad predicted 22 for herald sun who usually butcher our side. What changes would you make sainters?

Not that is massive deal but I’d swap Wilkie and Camma’s spot and Garcia on ball Steele half fwd maybe? And maybe box/clark/henry in for maybe trav/macrae

Four good ones then he’ll tail off quickly I’d imagine. Counter intuitively missing a bit of footy over the last few years means he’s only played 124 games instead of 200 at his age so his body is less banged up.

That Liam Ryan news is exciting too. He’s unreal when on song. Nasiah putting it down Kings throat with Ryan buzzing around in that forward line alongside Owens, Sharman, Higgins and say Tauru is going to be great to watch
If he was linked to Geelong I bet a lot more people would be willing to praise Geelong for their list management and ability to give players a fresh start.

We need more class up forward and he fits our short term window of trying to get some success for Wilkie, Steele, Ro, Sinclair, Wood etc without breaking the bank or our asset pool too much.

We gave up a 3rd round pick for a highly consistent 3xAA in Macrae

Id imagine something similar

Eagles would be looking for more but the fact is he is inconsistent, highly injury prone and looks disinterested which you can't blame him.
The question is would his performance be better in a competitive team?
Trading for Ryan is a massive risk in my opinion

In regards to the eagles list management in my opinion trading away of multiple top 3 picks is a huge mistake a midfield of sheezle, reid and Smith would be elite and would give reid the protection he needs on field to get the best out of himself and also give the Eagles the best opportunity of signing him.

You can trust Grant Thomas to come on radio and pour water on the whole thing. Christ he's negative.

Wasn't too bad- you still need to look at both sides of any major decisions by a club. He was right about the Saints lauding single players over team, and that has been a problem for years with us. But these days, a top pro sportsman is worth a lot of money, as Nas will bring crowds in and attract extra memberships as well.
Re TDK, I reckon Hall and Wilke are better players than TDK, but TDK is a style of tall strong running player who may help us build a strong team, and strong teams win premierships.

McCrae was playing 2s on a big wage and was told to explore his options. There’s no way we’d let a contracted Ryan go for a 3R pick.

Don’t get me started on us trading our 1Rs, I’ve already had enough fights about it on my own board especially about Baker and Allan. The height of stupidity and yes, we’d have a well balanced A grade midfield instead of a handful of role players although Ginbey and Hewett have come on nicely this year.

It will be interested how Ross's comments regarding trading our contracted players will go with regards to players we're chasing. At the end of the day I doubt it will have any influence but it's amusing.

Who knows what next years draft looks like with potential Tasmania concessions ect.
I think next year will be okay, but it's staggering that we are less than 7 weeks away from the trade period (in which futures can be traded 2 years in advance) and still do not have any clarity on exactly what those concessions will look like

“The two years, it just gives him a bit more opportunity to grow as a player and as a person. And clearly, it doesn't affect him being on short term deals. So he just wanted to do that and to see how he's going, see how the club's going and then reassess and hopefully extend in the future again.

Ben Williams this morning - The ball is purely in the clubs court now to build a contending team.

What’s the word with Liam Ryan? Love to have him but I assume it might be at the expense of Collard… is that the rumour?

We’re gonna be d citing next season but the pressure is on, we can’t be dishing up the same sort of (at times) rubbish we have the last 2 seasons.
