Clearly you have never seen Harry Dean play as the only way you are not using the compo pick on him is if you trade out the pick or get in front of the bid.
I have seen Dean play and you have just repeated what I went on to say. We will trade that pick out just like every team does if they have a father-son or NGA prospect at the top end of the draft.

Tom Morris on SEN this morning:

Marcus Windhager (St Kilda)
North Melbourne showing interest

“Windhager wants to stay,” Morris said on SEN Breakfast.

“St Kilda’s offer is not yet four years, but if it gets to four years today he would sign today.

“He just needs that security.”

Kane Cornes said: “He’s a must have, you need these players. Good performer and consistent. An age demographic that suits the Saints but never going to be an A-grader.

“What do you pay him? This is what St Kilda are clearly weighing up. We can’t overpay for a player who has limitations in his game.”

Morris added: “St Kilda and Lyon has a philosophy, you have your stars that you pay, future stars you pay to keep and then you’ve got your soldiers.

“This is about tenure. North has offered five years for Windhager. They want someone in that age bracket – a bit older than Harry Sheezel. North need the older guys, they have the younger guys.

“They need to bring someone in to get better.”

4 years is a no brainer

As opposed to the car park at Carlton next year

“The Saints are adamant they’re not (considering a trade). It would have to be an unbelievable deal from the Cats to get Rowan Marshall out.”

Cornes added: “If I’m the Giants I’m offering a pretty good contract to Rowan Marshall to get him there.”

JSOS doesn't seem to make much sense if we are getting Aleer?
If it's one of the two, then JSOS any day of the week. More experience, versatile and attacking.
JSOS actually played CHB this year I think, although a little shorter at 194cm, but more than made
up for it with his smarts and marking.

Apart from intercept marking, not sure how good Aleer's disposal is, probably not very developed since he didn't grow up playing footy. Only played it in high school?

Surely this JSOS thing is BS.

Where do we apparently fit all these players in the side? 😂

I feel like Windy is expecting a higher salary over four years whereas we are not matching that level or want to only pay it for two and let his form dictate beyond this. We have Garcia/Boxshall/Trav in the wings who have the potential to overtake him.

I feel like a compromise will be met somewhere. No more Zaine Cordy 4 year deals is a smarter approach.

The question is for the same money, who would you prefer?
I’m a fan of JSOS.

I just don’t think it’s genuine and I can’t see where we fit JSOS Aleer Tauru Wilkie Caminiti Marshall King Sharman Owens TDK in the same side.

But if we do, I’ll be in my element. ****ing over Carlton twice and then a third with Dean 💦 💦
