Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

I watched a little bit of the vfl game today and Cmac is too good for the vfl.

'Experts' are worried how the 19th team will affect the depth of the AFL.

Yet we are quite happy to have 18 AFLW teams where you're lucky to have 1 to 2 decent players in the squad. Good on them for getting a gig and for the supporters who genuinely care, but don't force it upon everyone else.

I was also there and can confirm the above. His first goal was good...his second was a ripper!! His ball use is excellent!

It doesn't help that the Saints AFLW team isn't going all that well, seeing them get overrun by West Coast at home was painful.

I don't think our girls managed to kick a goal in the 2nd half, that sort of low scoring footy isn't going to get people watching it.

I would rather watch WAFL games here than AFLW games which are a lot closer to AFL standard but don't get as much coverage.

As I said before Merrett plays a similar type of midfield role to Macrae who is on a 3 year deal with us and didn't cost that much.

Merrett would be a slight upgrade on him but he would cost us a lot more and Macrae will probably be forced to play in the VFL.

If we didn't already have Macrae locked away for another couple of years I'd be more open to the idea of trying to get Merrett.

Surely it's just family and friends watching the chicks these days. It's rubbish
