Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

2025 KEY DATES
Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Still thin now though. Those guys looked great but to play finals we need a decent amount of experience.

Flanders would be ideal because he lets Nas play back with time in the middle. Ryan with Hall too.

Why would you want that? NAS established himself as the absolute top line midfielder we have craved for a decade and you want to move him out lol.

For that alone, I'd question his judgement if he chose the Dees.

That’s actually a very serious consideration for a lot of players. To play alongside a superstar of the competition.

Mods on those threads are ridiculous. I got an infraction and warning for a completely trivial thing. It's a joke.

There are some other pretty good track watchers whom I fail to mention.
Don't fret, all the ins and outs of the new recruits (TDK, JSOS, Ryan, Heeney, Aleer and Flanders) will be gone over with a fine toothed comb, plus all your mad fans, like NAZ, Windy, Titanic, Viking etc.

Looks to be a bumper off season of track watching

During my dummy spit post west coast loss, my girlfriend was there when I called the club and said don't renew my membership and don't contact me about it... I'll call you if I decide to renew blah blah blah.
I've been telling her about some of the trade stuff recently and she said "so when will you be calling the club to buy some of those fancy reserve seat memberships"...

Intresting observation from other boards and especially media that so many are so bloody desperate for us to **** all this up. It's not like we are the blue and bombers, they're campaigners and we should celebrate what the near future is for them. Our biggest crime is signing contracts after being no where near it for 15 years

I know but it wont be back as a starting point with time through the middle. We know NAS wants to play midfield, he’ll play where he can have the most impact which will be mainly mid and forward of centre.

Told you blokes when NAZ signed, a full 11 game membership and reserved seat.

I was despondent and thought the AFL was allowing the club to wither on the vine.
However the club could not have done more to restore my confidence
1. Upended the league regarding NGA and FS
2. Saved millions in cap to get a raft of new players in that has again upset the AFL industry
3. Signed all the relevant OOC players like NAZ and Windy, extensions to Pou, and the kids
4. Making the club relevant again. A club that wont be walked over.

It may not work, history shows it rarely does for us, but hope is restored in a possible rise up the ladder and the admin of the club and running of the footy dept.

Heaps said he wasn't worth paying because he was B grade.

Its no surprise how many on here look like a 'wolf in sheeps clothing' and jumped all over a ripping kid, because he wanted to be paid a reasonable slice of the cap. It was the exact same last year during the Battle transactions. They have all gone quiet since Windy resigned, perhaps now they think he is a good player again?

A certain prolific poster was really out spoken on his negative thoughts re Windy, but now is his greatest fan again.

Accusing the club of bullying behaviour…I guess someone’s rep (who is posting it) can be blown up quickly if it comes to be inaccurate..

So it’s been advised when trade period opens, Wilkie and his manager are going to make allegations against the club of bullying etc etc ?

If I'm SOS and Co, there's absolutely no way I'm trading Wilkie unless we are getting massive overs.

I couldn't care less if Wilkie went scorched earth and demanded a trade and didn't turn up to the B&F. He's just too important and not for sale unless it's massive overs.

Still have flashbacks of Fisher pushing forward and nearly clunking that mark late in the drawn Grand Final

The Wilkie thing makes zero sense to me

1. If he had issues with bullying and harrassment etc, why would this only come up now when there's the prospect of a godfather offer from the Dogs? He was on the record as dismissing this a month ago, surely nothing has changed in that time.
2. Why would he be salty about us recruiting extra help in the backline? With Battle gone this year his job got infinitely harder and he frequently looked exasperated, surely he'd be stoked to have some more support.
3. Not to mention he's no spring chicken, I would have thought he'd want to see us recruiting players in the win now age bracket.
4. Re: salaries he's an accountant, he wouldn't be naive about how these things work. You pay overs to get players in, the CBA increasing inflating salaries etc. If his manager wants to use the dogs offer to extract some extra $$ from us I can believe that, but he doesn't seem like the sort of bloke who'd jump ship purely for money.
