Good luck to Cal, always a 2x Premiership player for us. Could never underestimate his commitment to the team.

If Starc goes as well, I know it’s customary for raucous boos, but I hope the gabba cheers them on their return bout with both playing huge roles in both premierships.

Not sure I could boo either one of them. Especially if Reville is playing. It would all get too confusing.

With Adelaide’s Contract offer to Cal we should be getting decent trade value for him.
But either way we can’t force anything because we aren’t prepared to match their offer so we get what we get really.
Adelaide's future 1st pick (2026) would be OK.
Probably be diluted to the mid 20s by the time F/S, Academy Picks and Compo Picks are handed out.
Handy points to accumulate for Murray and Owen in the 2026 draft.

Very sad to see both Callum and Dev depart the Lions den, I wish them both well.

I hope Dev gets a decent shot at senior footy and has a Ben Keays like rise, I was always a fan of his.

I think it’s important to get someone’s future first. That brings my second favourite part of football supporting back into the picture… I love a good death ride!

Great get for Adelaide

Not we have to get full value for him

Opens up a spot for one of our kids to get more consistent games
This is the exciting part / get to see a young guy step up.
We can’t hold onto all our players, but knowing the quality we have waiting to go is exciting.

While our core have really been the foundation of this run of success, being forced to get some youth and enthusiasm through the team got us over the line.

It should help protect the team from falling off a cliff, a couple of senior players move out each season, youth comes through and develops in a strong team.

(F*ck off bloody stupid predictive text. I know what i want to say and don’t need your help!!!)

Fort has been great and there is no indication he is slowing down at all. In fact I think he has improved.

With 5 on the bench I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a lot of Draper/fort combo.

Fort the oldest player to reach 50 games. So he’s really 32 going on 22. Expect he’ll hit his full potential when he’s 39.

Also question anyone know when players be available next year?
Dunkley and Berry just getting ops now

You think Answerth, Payne and Hippy be around the bye. Draper probably round 5-6
You assume Coleman, Doedee, Allen and Linc do a preseason.

I think people forget Linc be back eyeing off his all spot. Which AhChee took over after he did his knee

I more wonder what we do if Coleman comes back as Zorko made that spot his own.

If Coleman gets back to form I wonder if you play Fletcher and Motty further up the ground. Although I think either Fletcher or Motty provide us with more defensively and I’d be concerned about a Zorko and Coleman duo down back.

Didn’t realise Dunkley getting his shoulder done as well as his ankle.

It wasn’t that long ago that it was quite offensive when players would rather play elsewhere and turn their backs on the Lions in order to strengthen opposition clubs.

How things have changed; now we wish them well and it’s acceptable and everyone is encouraging our players to leave.

Weird.
I don't think anyone is encouraging our players to leave, it's just accepting the fact that players move on for varying reasons.

More dramatic but similar is when my wife and I split, I only wanted/and still do good things for her in the future... I can not see the point in being bitter.

Will depend if Starc goes as Answerth you think not back to around mid year.
Cannot see us playing Coleman, Zorko, Fletcher and Motty together
