Will start frothing if he moves into the midfield for Metro.
The half back flanker has hit the ground running in 2025, averaging 23.3 disposals and was one of the best in Vic Metro’s under 18 trial match.
“As a half back he’s really strong overhead,” Harding told SEN’s Future Stars.
“We trained him as a midfielder but played him more at half-back now and I think that’s his preferred position particularly looking at an AFL career.”

Look he's a free hit so should be satisfied either way. Hopefully he can keep building on his early form.

Heard this a few times now. Is this fact Mowman, or is it a mystical fairy tale?

Think Rozee was a Saints fan as well. Not that that matters.
He was a huge Saints fan lol

This has been mentioned a lot in the media

Same Simon Leathlean that said no to Noah Anderson when he wanted to came home after his 1st year, apparently we wanted to keep the picks for Ben King , this I know as fact lol

Old mate was NVG

If that is true, that is absolutely criminal!

Pretty much this.

The difference is, his brother has had continuity and has been able to hone his craft over multiple seasons and offseasons.

I think, of the two, Max has a higher ceiling, hopefully injuries don’t rob him of the opportunity to display that.

I don’t really buy that he’s made of tissue paper, but he’s certainly had a really chequered career injury-wise so far.

We are talking another unicorn type player, drafted on the dream that he would be our saviour. Max has had multiple issues with knee injuries, we can dream it won't happen again but as humans we look for patterns and there certainly is a pattern of knee injuries with Max.

Max King got monstered playing for Sandringham in 2019 and did a "high ankle sprain" injury which put him out for a long time. I've never heard of high ankle sprains. Coincidentally he did not play at all in 2019 which would mean the high ankle sprain was serious.

“Max has escaped damage to his knee, which is a good result given our initial fears, but he has sustained a high ankle sprain,” St Kilda GM of football Simon Lethlean said.

"While the club and observers were both first concerned about another ACL tear, scans quickly confirmed King’s knee graft had not been disrupted."

And what on earth is your point? That you know nothing of the human anatomy? Because that much has been clear for some time

You won’t say that when you watch the Viking dominate for the next 15 years.

I’d also say Battle got it wrong on several fronts, as soon as he signed his contract his Mrs gave him the arse.

Now lives by himself in a place in Aspendale.

LOL what

are you saying Battle's missus has left him?

“The first step for him is continuing to complete his rehab, and our medical team will be incredibly diligent in that regard. Ultimately, it’s about the sustained impact he can have on our club for the next 10 years."

Yes, he was in full rehab when we drafted him... Isn't his knee the issue now?

different injuries though right... like you're going to rehab an ACL very differently to say bone spurs

Noah Anderson signed a 2 year contract extension before his first season was over. He was never gettable or going to be traded by Gold Coast.

What rubbish

More like he is working on an investment property in Aspendale

High ankle sprain also known as a syndesmosis ankle injury? As someone who's had that exact same injury I'm glad your not my physio

Off ya pop to the gws board pal

Oh BTW, sick of King's resting sook face, delist him with that Higgins saboteur.

Club doubled down on the decision to give him a massive contract last year.

I don't think we can fully blame SL for Max being drafted to us, they still thought he would be our saviour as late as last year.

I just hope its not wait until the end of the season and then tell us its more serious than first thought.
