So hypothetically if we get TDK then trading Marshall would have real merit if another club wants to pay up. In that situation I’d probably opt for keeping Heath as well as keeping and developing Dodson.
Tomorrow will be an interesting watch not only to see if Heath can impact forward but how he’s come on as a ruck.

Was just looking at the off-season moves that year and who we could have maybe made a play for.

Hall at FF, Roo CHF and Kosi in the ruck teaming with Smack probably gets us home.

Was thinking about exactly this yesterday, I think we’d benefit from moving Boyd on so either/both of Dodson and Heath get the opportunity to develop properly in the twos. If Heath shows signs he can play at the level, he retains his spot.
We can’t lose Ro, Heath and Boyd in one offseason.

I actually think that what the dons have done with Goldy is the way forward. Get an over hill ruck as a player coach who doesn’t dominate minutes in the twos so the young guys can develop in the role they’ll play.

Ultimately Boyd has limited the exposure that Heath and Dodson need to develop faster.

will come back from injury in a few weeks and the Taylor-Buckley combo will continue for another 4 - 6 years you'd think barring injury. Can GWS fit all 3 into a team? Maybe, maybe not. They also play Himmelberg down there as a third tall and up forward they have Hogan, Cadman, Riccardi. The tall stocks are pretty well set. They weren't playing him much before Taylor's injury. Reckon this patch of games just bumps up Aleer's value unfortunately for us.

Boyd goneski. Heath's improved this year and still young, you'd think he and Dodson will be developing rucks.

It will bump it up a bit but the 'omitted' next to his name once Taylor is fit should keep him at a reasonable trade price.

I’m definitely not confirming the sentiment, but it is clearly something as important we’ve identified as a club hence our industry leading indigenous program

Which may or not help us with retention when possibly 2 of our Indigenous players are deciding about returning home.

I understand the programme re fostering tolerance and educating people about Indigenous history etc - but whether it in reality assists in prevention of these players returning home - well the jury is still out on this.

As Ads734 mentioned, we do also have other homesick players in the league who head home - Jamie Cripps for one.

I was a huge advocate for going after Lovett at the time. He was a legit game breaking star ala Shai Bolton.

There were plenty of rumors about his off field behavior but nothing like what came to light.

In retrospect; Grabbing one of Gibson, Fevola or Barry Hall would have been unreal.

I wanted neither.

We still had the majority of 04-5 crew in prime time, what we didn't need was;

Mad drug culture that Cousins would bring, that screws your culture for generations.
