Buddy said NWM equal second best player in AFL (Bont first, NWM and Daicos equal second)

Don’t think Whitlock should even be part of the conversation. They’ll have to pony up more than that if he goes.
You should head over to the port board.

He is an untouchable and close to Whitlock and steak knives straight up for nas 😂

rightly or wrongly, the Nas signing will be the thing we remember most about this saints administration, unless we win a premiership. If if it turns out we fumbled the bag heads will roll, the general saints public has never been this invested in a signature
Yeah it's rough because if he leaves it's a homesick thing but the reality is he's the best talent we've had in a decade and a player you can build a premiership around, and you can't let that type of talent walk out the door.

It's a sign that we can actually develop players too. I'm excited to see what Pou can be now, imagine those two dominating the midfield together Omg.

Of the guys you listed only King (in a stacked team) Jackson (unicorn), Larkey and Thilthorpe are any ****ing good though.

Sure, if they're playing on someone of similar size. Lynch, McKay and co are capable of making a mess of an undersized backline.

Evidence no.1 being McKay against us in round 10.

This is honestly the worst year for a Saints fan that I can remember. It's been 25 years since we drafted an elite player and when one finally comes on all the talk is about him leaving and what return of B grade platters we get in return while also collapsing down the ladder.

I just wish the whole season would finish and piss off into the history books. Not even the draft looks overly exciting and the next few are going to be compromised too. At least next year we might sacrifice a coach to the footy gods or something if we can't move forward.
Worst in terms of results maybe, but I've been more optimistic this year watching our youngsters than in the last 10 years. It feels like the future is being set up, and that hasn't been the case for a while.

Is that what you took from it?

His agent is the major issue. Nas happy to stay on a 2 year deal - with likely player option triggers

Guys, the manager is playing us like a fiddle. Nas isn't going. Everyone knows Port aren't satisfying us in a trade. He isn't desperate to leave.

If TDK is getting $1.8 a year, don't you think Nas' manager is licking his chops and looking to get the best deal for his client? It's negotiation 101.

You mean round 9 when he kicked a ****ing whopping 3 goals.

To be clear, I’m not saying we’re not undersized right now, Camma and Wilkie alone aren’t enough (fwiw I’m pretty sure Dougal played in that game and Curnow kicked 3 too so what is Dougal now undersized as well).

I’m saying that Camma, Wilkie, Barrat, Tauru and Aleer makes the core of a good tall brigade with some size to wrestle and scrap one out and plenty of intercepting power.

Arguing Whitlock, as a ruck/forward, was a better option for us than Barrat over 2 inches is just a strange take.

I agree, but it’s almost Round 20. Hoping we get a decision by f**king Christmas!
