That’s just incorrect. He’s a half back with good defence and offence.Cinc's limitations are clear, we cant hold a player whos only role is a lock down tagger. We learnt with Ed Curnow that modern footy doesnt have room for this type of player anymore. Lemmey just looks that far off it that its hard to see it turning, have to cut the chord eventually.
I would prefer to see him play 20 games in a season before doing something like that, If Cripps was to step back Weiters looks every bit the skipper.I'd also love to see Walsh take over the captaincy next year from Crippa.

Yeah, can play back or forward.Khamis is taking McGovern's role as swing man
2nd round pick and swap of thirdsGothard looks pretty elusive.
What would it take to get him?
If we could lose Fog and Fanta, that'd leave us with a developing group of Frankie, Mots, Durds, Flynn...plus maybe Gothard/Rosas?
I'm not so confident on White and Durds.
Yep, wouldn't be offering either of them any more than 1 year.Wilson is re-signed already, Fogarty is under contract, Kemp is also out of contract and not mentioned.
Evans and Motlop are two that I would pen in for 1 year with a 1 year option, rather than the flat 2.
I'd keep 3 off that list, not counting TDK and JSOS.What are we looking at for our outs? Quite a bit of experience out the door from these probables, with more older heads knocking on the door at the end of ‘26 (Saad, Haynes, Newman + the ZW conundrum/payback)
1. JSOS
3. Motlop (?)
11. McGovern
12. TDK
13. Acres (?)
14. Fantasia
15. Docherty
20. EH (?)
25. Binns (?)
31. Lemmey (?)
39. Cincotta
45. F.Young (?)
Will be an interesting off-season and list make-up come 2026.
Grab a mature player to stop gap the hole for a year or two until O'farrell gets back to his best and Dean comes in.God the O’Farrell injury still stings.
Boyd is contracted, otherwise agree.Who I think are strong chance to depart:
Docherty - retired
De Koning - exiting via free agency
Silvagni - exiting via free agency
Acres - traded (3rd rounder?)
McGovern - exiting via free agency. (would like him to stay as back-line cover for 12 months)
Fantasia - delisted
Lemmey - delisted
Cincotta - delisted
Boyd - delisted
White - delisted / maybe rookie'd.
Duffy - delisted
Monahan - delisted.
I think the club may even look at contracted players in Jaxon Binns, Lewis Young and Lachie Fogarty and see if they can move their deals onto another club. Fogarty & Binns in particular.
Expecting MOTLOP, EVANS, HAYNES, KEMP, FLYNN YOUNG, WILSON to be given 1-2 year contracts.
Love Gothard and GWS have a history of nailing their small forward picks. Daniels and Jones are two of the best smalls in the game currently and Thomas looks like he's going to be really good as well.Gothard looks pretty elusive.

Frank, Flynn and Motlop worth persisting with, although Flynn also looks better up the ground and f50 connectionSmall forwards summary:
If they continue to play Motlop much higher he is worth persisting with, looks a lot quicker around the footy in midfield. Durdin I would look to move (just some absolutely shocking delivery inside 50 again in a game with zero pressure). White, he is likeable but unfortunately I'm starting to think he's pretty limited athletically perhaps? Does do the odd thing that makes you a believer though. Probable delist. Fantasia gone. Fogarty gone unless contracted. Frank![]()
Based on the stability mantra hard to see any change like that next yearI'd also love to see Walsh take over the captaincy next year from Crippa.
Starting to feel he may be the best candidate, but he needs to establish a solid season on the park first. Coming off a couple of interrupted years is not a great entry.I'd also love to see Walsh take over the captaincy next year from Crippa.
it's these kids that now have to change the standards/culture imo especially if they stick around they will be our core.Reality is. All this list has achieved since the rebuild, is a Prelim 2 years ago.
How are we expecting a different result next year with the same group?
Personally… I’d trade anyone, if it got us the players and qualities below to lead us to take the next step.
We lack qualities such leadership, aggression, speed and foot skills.
We also lack in quality outside run and ball use in the midfield, HB and Wings, as well as a quality small forward, to go with Williams and Evans.
We could improve depth all over.
We have some exciting kids under 23.
Lord, Cowan, Smith, 2x Hollands, HOF, HOK, Carroll, Wilson, Motlop, Young, Evans, Charleson & Moir.
That we need to build around and drive better standards.
imo acres for a third rounder would be a massive win. Don’t see it transpiringWho I think are strong chance to depart:

We will have 2 compensation picks which could get swallowed up on FS/NGA and then pick 34 and 43 , 61.So 9 off the primary list and 1 Cat A Rookie and 2 Cat B Rookies?
thats a lot of players to replace in a single off-season.
If Lemmey is delisted expect him to be offered a rookie spotWho I think are strong chance to depart:

I doubt we do but we are not going to pick up much with the picks we have left. It will be the same next year unless we can get a FA as we hope to get Cody and that will under the current arrangements swallow all our picksSurely we won't add 5 players from this draft to our primary list. 3 would be more than enough.
