.Why not? He fits a need for us and has plenty of quality years left.If I see another article linking Papley as part of a Curnow trade ill.
Can’t we get him during the SSP?I believe he will need to nominate for the draft again. Once he gets through that, anyone can sign him.

A full preseason with the clubs main squad, get a chance to observe him, then assess his performance & progress from there…I'm hoping we draft Hogg, I think improved fitness and he could be a good AFL player.
It seems he will be delisted, so I don’t think that risks anything.Treloar is a good culture guy. Would be a good step into coaching for him to come across.
We're going to have some cap space that needs filling in the short term. Wouldn't mind working a minor trade with the Dogs if they were up for it. Something that doesn't impact our FA compensation but also helps them out.
Win-win.
I love a bit of Jones chat, I haven’t watched him this year but quite a few have said he’s cooked, so I had a look at his numbers, no drop off in disposals or marks compared to other years. What about our man Liam Jones.....just a lazy 17 possessions and 10 marks in defence

Except maybe delivery into our forward line or pinching 1 or 2 goals a game! Not sure a rising 33 gear old Adam Treloar answers any problems for us.
Highly dependent on at least 3 new coaching hires. How’s that going for us???
I think he's been a high quality impact mid across his career, but are we overstating his foot skils in here? By like a lot?Except maybe delivery into our forward line or pinching 1 or 2 goals a game!
Sorry I wrote the wrong Thompson. Max is under 16s and looks an absolute gun mid/hbf.Love the kid but he is about 5 foot 8. Same local club as Brent Daniels who goes alright at about the same height.
His 2024 stats are pretty good with inside 50 and GA, maybe 2 goals a game is expecting too much, but;I think he's been a high quality impact mid across his career, but are we overstating his foot skils in here? By like a lot?
A 33 yo who can’t hit a target inside 50, no thanks. We are starting to bring on players who can kick the ball like Carroll, Lord, Evans etc. why on earth would we take a step back with this bloke.Shiel is still fit but his always erratic kicking has become worse with age. Hard no from me.
Shiel had his chance to come to usAlright then I'm keen, subject to free agency compensation impact.
Sounds like he might be a DFA, but we might be competing with the Dogs and Hawks.
Walsh’s games tally would be similar, yet Carlton fans believe he’s injury proneView attachment 2412691sports fans have such short memories
i.e. Butters. He's pretty much Hewett if he was a better kick and not quite as good defensively.
Personally feel like we'll just back in Lord and Cerra to fill that spot post Hewett and Cripps. Need a POD with some real dynamism.
