JSOS and TDK out,
Gruzewski, Dean, Ison, and Flynn Reily in
Seems OK to me...
Just get us some better small forwards, and more outside run...
I wonder what Steve Johnston is up to, and if he'd make a good forwards coach?

Bloke just blew up his ACL on the weekend

Gruzewski is contracted so it wouldn’t surprise me if he cost us TDK compo (if we are worried about a bid for Dean) with later picks coming back this and next year for points which would give us some flexibility.
They have several players like Gothard who would also make decent targets as They have been recruiting types we are desperate for so personally I hope we can try to lure someone else along with him.
He was pick 22 in the 2022 draft and has only played 8 games of AFL football. I feel like offering 7-8 in any deal for him would be too much even if late picks came back.

We need to finish below St Kilda at all costs.

St Kilda were one of the clubs last year that pressured Essendon with a trade threat for their first-round pick - warning they’d place a bid on Kako otherwise.

Hopefully they don’t pull the same move with Dean.
Pretty sure Voss will have this covered 😉

SOS is going to be trying to do that to every club he has a pick before. That's part of why agents/managers don't like working with him.

Should be okay. They've got a pretty soft run home compared to us. We're winning 1 game maximum unless Port put everyone on ice.

It is but they get to tell us what they want. JSOS pick will be in the 30’s. They don’t want or need that. We aren’t going to be trading our future second.

There’s a possibility they try and use their two seconds to trade up and JSOS’s pick would be handy for that but then if we take TDK pick to the draft we won’t be able to match a bid on Dean without going into a massive deficit which completely stuffs our next two draft hands.

Stinkilda have:
Tigers
Essington
Giants

We have:
Suns
Port
Essington

Surely Voss has this sorted....

I know these aren't necessarily the same thing, but this gave me a chuckle.
Mind you, if he's getting around 5 shots on goal per game, that's something to work with.

Gives me a chuckle that you don't think a 60% conversion rate is decent for a bloke that clearly plays higher up the ground.

60% conversion rate is good. Jeremey Cameron is 63.6%, Jack Gunston is just barely over 50%. Jamie Elliott constantly gets praised for being an elite shot for goal, he's only at 55%. Thilthorpe is 62%. Darcy Fogarty (imo the best shot in the game) is 69%.

Goal scoring conversion rates are lower than you might expect. A 60% conversion rate is good.

Way to high still. His value has dropped, not increased. Worth something in the 30s.
Value hasn't dropped. The only reason he's not kicking bags at AFL level is body strength. Another preseason in the gym and he will be a weapon. Don't know if he's gettable or not but he's worth at least a mid to late first rounder.

If we miss out on him, that is reason enough that Lloyd must go. Regardless of what has gone before. Absolutely incomprehensible list management. Newman should have been on the lti list to open up a spot for us to list this bloke.
And Austin.

Doesn't matter why he's not, he's not. We shouldnt take excuses into the valuing of players.

Pick #7 or #8 for Gruzewski? A pick #22 who has shown nothing at AFL level, isn't in GWS' best side and is an undersized key/medium forward. What are you talking about?

He's shown plenty for a young KPP. He's just playing behind some very good KPP. Riccardi is only playing ahead of him as he pinch hits in the ruck. I wouldn't be giving up a top 10 pick but the kid will be a good player.
