This was a really good segment that went out for quite a while. They discussed plenty and Weiters spoke very well.

That's a fair point. Poaching players young enough to fill gaps in the list is largely going to fall the way of contracted players now if you don't want to Draft & develop your own, which means coughing up.

Charlie reportedly wants a change though, we aren't shopping him around. My theory is that the cat got out of the bag before he wanted it to and had to back track. The club have said he isn't up for trade but make no mistake, if the right deal presents itself, they will look at it (given he wants a change which by default means he isn't all in with us).

Re his form, if he was hampered, underprepared or injured he shouldn't have been playing.

If the rumours have any legs and he wants to go to GCS, it has to be a deal that involves Ben King coming to Carlton or they can GAGF.

If he wants to go to Geelong and surf more, no problem. Minimum price involving Max Holmes or Ollie Dempsey coming to Carlton or they can also GAGF.

Swans have a history of chasing gun forwards. It is their biggest current hole. Their candidates are “almost” types and haven’t consistently performed. Plugger, Big bad Barry, Buddy, they have a history.

Not sure how they get a deal done though, role players don’t get it done.

It’ll have to be a godfather offer or it won’t even be looked at imo
