Why?Targeting Khamis and being linked with two rucks is giving me Charlie will be traded vibes

Dont want another Pittonet who is no good around the ground. We need an athletic ruck.

Who's TDK??Agree. Carlton is a poor contested marking team around the ground compared to others (think Geelong)
We lost TDK who could do a contested mark .... we need more than just Harry.
Definitely a good tall agile Ruckman who is a good pack mark and can follow up below the knees... accept nothing less
ps. Luke Jackson fan ... and like Sam Drapers style
Injury proneWhat are the thoughts on Burton from Port Adelaide?
I know he's had a shocking run of injuries but if his body is right he could be a good option at half back.
It's giving me "McGovern is on his way out and Kemp is always injured" and "We don't trust HOK to solo ruck a full season if Pitto goes down" vibes more than anything.Targeting Khamis and being linked with two rucks is giving me Charlie will be traded vibes
Edit I thought the link was for the article about chasing Port’s football manager, either the Age’s link was broken or I am"Carlton are closing in on Port Adelaide’s Chris Davies to be the club’s next football boss.
Two club sources confirmed to this masthead on Thursday that Carlton have held informal discussions with Davies and have made it clear he is their No.1 priority to replace outgoing head of football Brad Lloyd."

The whole scenario is giving me "why the hell wouldn't we be rebuilding?" vibes. It's giving me "McGovern is on his way out and Kemp is always injured" and "We don't trust HOK to solo ruck a full season if Pitto goes down" vibes more than anything.
Buku could also play more lockdown down back and then we can release Cow in a more attacking role if we think he's ready.
Not gonna set the world on fire but it's these smart, no-nonsense transactions that we need now more than ever. I like it.
That would be a dumb move.Lem could be in trouble
We have kept a coach with a year remaining on his contract he’d be a deadman walking if we rebuild retaining him means delaying that (if it’s required and I think it is). Given the potential entry of Tasmanian team this delay could have long term consequence but that’s for the Chicken little thread!I'm getting "why the hell wouldn't we be rebuilding" vibes.
Then we waste a year and try to pack it all into the nest trading block. We are crumbling, best to start again. We have kept a coach with a year remaining on his contract he’d be a deadman walking if we rebuild retaining him means delaying that (if it’s required and I think it is). He's not a backman. Unless the club is going to train him to be a backman over the summer? It's giving me "McGovern is on his way out and Kemp is always injured" and "We don't trust HOK to solo ruck a full season if Pitto goes down" vibes more than anything.

I thought he was pretty clear last week on speed and footskills, Moon. But do you feel he should be clearer than that?I'd love to know what kind of Player Voss thinks we need, and who we should be going after..?
Why?
We obviously need a ruck, and with Jack and likely Mitch out the door we need utility types even more.
I blame the development coaches! The "list manager" could delist them...
I suspect we will be talking to a few rucks with a view to bringing one in, and maybe looking to the draft too. I can see why there may be reservations about HOK as a full time ruck.If fringe players leave a club, i always assume its because the new club is offering a role, which is fine, but by targeting two rucks it just makes me think that HOK will be used as a forward ruck and we will play another and move out Charlie.
Of course could be way off and maybe getting Khamis might mean Kemp or Lemmey departs or maybe we dont want both rucks but are speaking to both.
Sounds like Nick Daicos...Buku is all sizzle and no substance ... a fringe Player looking for the easy receive in space.
There are others like him who don't like the tough hard ball gets ... I'll take tough Players any Day ...no thanks.
me too - but I'd; settle for a few that can actually run fast and kick good too. Hard to tackle anyone if you are two meters too late every time.Buku is all sizzle and no substance ... a fringe Player looking for the easy receive in space.

Speed NoOut of interest, does Khamis help in terms of speed or foot skills?
