I reckon get Darcy fit over next short block and then get Jackson running through the middle. Darcy can have a run at Peel and spend some time up forward as well.

Not a full time mid but 30% Ruck, 20% FF, 20-40% half forward mid rotation.

Darcy 70% ruck, 10-20% forward and then extra bench time.

Just say Jackson proves he can be a #1 ruck and can beat guys like meek and Gawn. What is Darcy’s trade value what could we actually get for him or is it just give him away like hogan

Whatever it is, there's no worth in trading him away right now at his lowest price. Better gambling on him getting healthy for next year and then maybe having a buyer for more.

He's on 700k according to Ralph's article today. That's a managable salary given what a lot of players are getting nowadays. Meek is uncontracted at the end of the year. I imagine he'd be fielding some offers close to that region.

Give him away like Hogan and probably have to pay a chunk of his salary.

Darcy if fit will come good in the winter months when the tracks are a bit heavier.

Waterhouse wanted to go home and the club said no. I don't particularly follow the media rumours, but I'm sure that Pav was interested. Hill was told no the first time.

AFL sports journalism has a lot of gutter reporting.

How many injured players are walk up best 22?

NOD, Young
Walker??
Darcy??

I really only have the first 2.
Maybe Walker as a long down defender to free up Chapman.

Walker definitely is. He is the only player on our list that can actually play on the best smalls.

Im.getting increasingly torn on Walker. He is so far and away the best defender of smalls we need him but we also need him to fix up the offensive decision making. Him and Cooper need to do a fusion dance so we have the greatest back pocket that ever lived.

I just really don’t think his decision making was all that bad last year. He was awful to start this year but it’s not like he’s never shown to be decent

Nah, its never been great IMO and his kicking I reckon is genuinely around Pearces level but given how good his defending is you just kinda put up with it. Will be some hard.choices when he comes back

Not great, but it’s definitely been passable. I remember quite a few spear passes into f50 early on in his career. What he needs to do is use his run and carry more though. Feel like he rarely uses his speed on the offensive anymore.

Given we've been comprehensively smoked by just about any small forward with a pulse since his injury, anyone questioning Walker's spot in the side needs their head read.
From the team on the weekend, who would you drop, who do you think they'd drop?

Only Young is for certain but it's a top 10 AFL player out, so it's significant.

NOD and Walker are 15-23 range so missing them sucks but doesn't hurt our game.

A fit and firing Darcy is B22 no question as well.

That's it really, all other outs are our depth.

No Walker to play on Bobby against Collingwood did definitely hurt our game.
