We offered more for Kelly, and it had no impact.

If McVee does not want to go to Eagles, then it doesn't matter what they offer.

We simply need to offer Pick 29 and leave it. It is fair offer.

I don't mind pick 29 combined with adding in the Richmond third rounder in exchange for McVee and the Brisbane 3rd rounder Melbourne own. That way Melbourne can use the extra points paired with their second rounder for one off the GC firsts while the Brisbane third will climb in the live draft after bid matching.

Problem is Tasmania NEED to trade their picks for players. Are we just expecting everyone to up and leave to Tasmania??

They can take a maximum of one contracted player per club. Why not Pearce? Provided his contract is extended. If it is Pearce they’re not handing us a second rounder.

They MUST use 5, 7, 11 and 13 for players.

I know it’s a few years away, but surely Alex Pearce goes to Tasmania in 2028 and we get given one of Tasmania’s first round picks they need to use to lure players?

You wonder why players managers or clubs don't do their homework and understand what trade assets to make it happen.

Didn’t Cerra actually go to Carlton because he did want to do the right thing by Freo and Carlton had best offer?

More so the deal would get done with Carlton, Melbourne didn't have a 1st and had just won a flag so a F1 wouldnt have been enough. I do think Melbourne were his preference, but I don't think he went to Carlton to do the right thing by Freo.

- Spoken to a number of players/looking at a number of players via trade

- Got three senior list spots to fill, whether that's via trade and draft or only draft remains to be seen (I'm guessing this doesn't account for Brodie/Reidy vacating an additional two spots but I'm not 100% sure)

- Spoke at length about how good our two rucks are, so Darcy will not be leaving (my words, not his)

- Brodie/Reidy trades will be pretty straight forward, we'll be looking to accumulate points/move up the draft order

We knew about Draper because AFL rules say so but Sharp is kind of news.
