Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
We drafted Latrelle Pickett and Lachlan Carmichael in the only draft that matters.Damn that sucks to hear, hopefully we get a fringe player training out of their skins soon so we can overreact and call them our next flag bearer.
I did hear we were linked to Pickett on DDF, so that's a real thing is it?We drafted Latrelle Pickett and Lachlan Carmichael in the only draft that matters.
Bailey Banfield redemption arc is upon usDamn that sucks to hear, hopefully we get a fringe player training out of their skins soon so we can overreact and call them our next flag bearer.
Seems to be right in our range now.I did hear we were linked to Pickett on DDF, so that's a real thing is it?

Last draft I wanted Berry as we needed a forward but Walls the hack wanted Murphy Reid.Seems to be right in our range now.
I know Walls will always say whoever we draft with our first pick is best available but if he looks at needs slightly I think we'll look at Pickett.
In reality I think Walls probably crosses all talls off the board and goes with best available of what's left. If he goes slightly needs based that is.
Yep, take best player available then play them in the position of greatest need (or least contest for spots)Last draft I wanted Berry as we needed a forward but Walls the hack wanted Murphy Reid.
In Walls we trust.
I know a lot on here like Pickett, but I just can’t see it with our first pick, think there are better options both for our first pick and later in the draft or rookie draft.
Geez just stab me in my heart.I personally don't love the choice, but I just want a good small forward who provides pressure and can kick goals accurately.
There are very few of them in this draft in the top 30. I think he is 1 of 2.
Ditto. I went rage texting to my cousin ranting that we drafted another midfielder when we needed a small forward. Walls 1 - Saul 0Last draft I wanted Berry as we needed a forward but Walls the hack wanted Murphy Reid.

We still need a small forward and a fat side winger.Ditto. I went rage texting to my cousin ranting that we drafted another midfielder when we needed a small forward. Walls 1 - Saul 0
We really should be adding both even if the young small forward isn't drafted at pick 20.I hope we don't draft a young small forward when there is a better overall player available (I doubt there is a Murphy in this draft at our pick). To cover small forward on our list in that case I would try again to get a mature age player to really back up Switta's role (shifty, tackling, pressure).
speak for yourself mate! been pumping around here - we have had the clear winner of 2025 Melt of the Year (Snuffaluphagus right here in this very thread, even if it was justified) sewed up with 1 month still left in the year, Mean Girls Saga in the AFLW thread, a chaotic mock draft, intellectual book (discussion) banning AND no one has even complained about Bailey Banfield* in that whole month!Nope, hope you had a nice break, been very boring around here.
We still need a small forward and a fat side winger.
Got a strong feeling that Walls will bring in a great player with our first pick that won’t be what we need.
I have a feeling we will take Noah Higgins(?)-Hargreaves imho. From this article: "There’s a view that Fremantle, depending on which players are still on the board, could launch several bids late on night one, which could see the first round stretch out into the late 20s."
Yes. YES!

It’s in our best interest to bid as many times as possible. When was the last time we bid on an oppo linked player in the 1st round? I know pick 20 is right at the end, but I personally don’t think we bid on anyone as Walls will be too excited entering the name of the player that slid to our pick.
Freo with four live draft picks according to this. Some will be taken by rookie elevations I guess
We'll pass the last two.
Our rookies have already been upgraded.
Is that how it works? Surely if you still have a list spot available you can bring out pick 134 if someone try's to pull a sneaky. I thought we like to run 36-6 but could always go 37-5 or 38-4 if forced to. Maybe if they go one after another we end up passing on the 2nd.Port or GWS could bid on Luke Ryda or Toby Whan after we’ve passed and they probably get them.
Only if we don't want them on the main list. You can pass and use later picks.Port or GWS could bid on Luke Ryda or Toby Whan after we’ve passed and they probably get them.
