There has been some aggro from publishers of articles in recent months about sites that copypasta their content onto other sites, particularly the paywalled ones, which could lead to fines and whanot for those that do it. Apparently there are copywrite laws for these things. As a result we can no longer have full articles reposted here, so if you come across something then please refrain from nabbing the whole thing and just post the link. Quoting a paragraph or two and linking the source is fine however, just don't get greedy.

Here's an example of what you can do:

Peak Buddy was doing it a star team set up for him. Peak Fyfe was doing it in a team mostly spare parts with a defensive game plan. Peak Fyfe > Buddy for mine. Agreed on duration though

Peak Fyfe is on par with Peak Buddy. Buddy is a generational key forward and Fyfe redefined what a midfielder could be.

Cousins was an amazing player but hes the next rung down.

Black was a very good player.

Let the great man revel in his retirement lap.
If Nat hadn't been crushed by the tribunal he was practically guaranteed a third browny.
Then injuries started to cruel him, or he could have been up for another one.
Needed to kick more of those easy goals is my only criticism & injuries.
All things that can be deliberated next year.
Fyfe has always been picked off by the media.
At least give him credit this week or stfu.
Problems of playing for Freo, you become an easy target..

Don’t get me wrong whilst Cuzzys clearly a flog off field he was deadset gun

But again his roll call doesn’t match that of black.
Seriously one of the most decorated players to ever come out of WA

Extremely humble and mild mannered off it .

On a side note Not sure what he’s up to these days (was line coaching for while there IIRC)but considering how many of those 3 peat lions players are now major contributors in the coaching departments of quite a few AFL clubs including some of the most successful, Freo could do worse than give him a call and gauge his interest in an assistant position.

Not sure about the coaching bit, but I have him ahead of Cousins as a player as well, maybe gets marked down as he was never a captain at AFL level, but Black was a hell of a player (as you’d need to be to win a Brownlow with Voss, Acka and Co stealing votes every week)

You’re right. I read it incorrectly, it was Matera in at #2. Better than Jakovich, but fmd if Fyfe doesn’t slot in there just millimetres behind Buddy then I don’t know what sport I’ve been watching for the last 40+ years.

Polly Farmer is a great thought though; terrific player, trail blazer. Very clearly we’re only talking about the last 30 years or so if he’s not a contender.

And Jakovich… oof. Great but not in the discussion for better than Fyfe.

And actually, when I think of it, I’ve watched Fyfe very up close at Manuka (best view you can get), and he was better than his highlights packages when at his peak, somehow. TV just didn’t catch the whole package.

It’s also funny that she’s said he is the most consistent after a big 27 disposal, 1 goal game. His 15 disposals a few weeks ago didn’t crack a mention.

In terms of consistency, an outside mid in the reigning premiers should be racking up numbers.

Consistently blowing my ****ing mind while playing the footy graveyard of HFF or being at the mercy of supply as a small forward is a way bigger achievement.
