Anyone who wants Oliver hasn’t watched Oliver play since 2023. He’s cooked.

Midfield is completely broken, but being coached by a clueless idiot isn’t helping.

I don’t even know where to start with how to rebuild the midfield. We’re arguably better off just relocating Rachele, Curtin and Taylor in there and recruiting forwards.

We just need a player in the middle that can get their hands on the ball.

Oliver averaged 26 touches a game this year (and got 30 against Collingwood… wouldn’t that be nice!). He’s only 28. Id back him back under Burgess to get back to quality even if it’s not top 3 players in the league.

I’m not saying we should use a first round pick. A second rounder with Melbourne paying $500k would do it.

I disagree on butts. After last night with how keane performed, butts is a must keep at all costs as he just went past keane at a rapid rate without even playing. Agree with most of the rest but want to keep edwards to see if he could develop into one of the answers in the middle..maybe

We just need to take a risk and get Oliver if there is no other choices out there. Another Mid like Bailey would be good also. We do have a pretty good team hence finishing top. All is not as bad as it seems we will be back better next year.

Not now a days, barely in Melbourne's best 22. Even putting his contract and off field issues aside not many clubs would take him. He isn't the same player.

I think the decision should be taken out of Brodie and Tex's hands.

Tex had a better year than I expected but there were fundermental issues with him and our forward line that was always going to be exposed come finals.

Smith just offers very little. He was never a super sub.

Unfortunately their leadership and experience hasn't cut through

Give them both and Crouchy a lap of honour in our first home game. No coaching roles should be offered with us next year. All three should go and do something different.

Yeah don’t disagree with that - would be great for him (if he has coaxing ambitions) to get away from the crows for a while.

An assistant role even at SANFL level for a couple of years (assuming he doesn’t want to uproot his family) would be ideal.

I’d love for him to work alongside someone like Francou at North or if the rumours are true Bassett at West.

Have you seen Tex trying to pick the ball up off the ground the last few weeks or get odd his opponent in a one on one contest.

He just can’t go anymore unfortunately.
