I’m fine with flexing the final spot between second ruck or extra mid but agree seven genuine forwards and backs should make it.Yep. Should be 1 bench slot for a defender, one for a mid, one for a forward and one for a 2nd ruck.
richards is competing with far more competitive vote pollers for AFLCA votes within his side than daicos is.Not according to the coaches or the players.
Yeah, I still don't rate the AA shocking award!
Josh Battle over Vlastuin and Worrell give me a spell...

All I see here are excuses.richards is competing with far more competitive vote pollers for AFLCA votes within his side than daicos is.
the leigh matthews trophy is a bit of a nothing award - most players arent watching neutral games in their spare time
Yeah off the top of my head Ablett, Buddy, Danger, Harvey, Riccuito and now Gawn hold itBont has 7 selections to my count. Ablett Jr had 8, is that the record?
woeful games, shut up mate
hes had 2 bad games, thats literally all, look at his stats.
Gawn polled coaches votes in 16 of 23 games. Grundy 11.Brodie Grundy left his run too late I guess. Hit red-hot form in the R17 game against the Bulldogs.
I'm baffled as a Hawks fan how Daicos is on the bench.
He missed 30% of the season, he's lucky to even get on the pineBonts should’ve been named as starter. He’s the most valuable player of any team. He can transform the game himself.
Battle and Clark without either of Keane or Worell is crazy

His second half of the year (okay, last third) was probably competition leading though. He was stiff to miss.Gawn polled coaches votes in 16 of 23 games. Grundy 11.
Grundy's first half of the year was average.

nice to see we agreeGrundy's first half of the year was average.
I’d argue that Butters had a career best year stats wise, but similarly the team performance does influence selection so not that fussed.Think Serong was lucky to make it but not convinced Holmes and Butters had a definitively better year.
More would have had another forward or back instead.
Oh right I hadn’t noticed Gawn was on his 8th. Crazy stuff, would have to think he’s surpassed Cox now as the GOAT ruckYeah off the top of my head Ablett, Buddy, Danger, Harvey, Riccuito and now Gawn hold it
Going Back???? like playing in the backline? what do u mean, look at his centre bounce attendances. That’s why this side isn’t picked off stats and his “form” coincided with him going back. He's not getting in as a HBF
