Nice recognition of Cameron imo, arguably the best player this year but the awards will all go to the mids as usual

Completely agree. Was likely the first picked player in the side and will add to his legacy looking back on his career. That's the best way to adjudicate the AA Captain IMO.Nice recognition of Cameron imo, arguably the best player this year but the awards will all go to the mids as usual
Because of rampant Geelong bias.
And you had Hawkins and Cameron captain and you have players like Joel Corey and Tom Stewart getting 7 or 8 AA's and Vlastuin gets none.Geelong had 2 players in the team. One of them won the Coleman medal and one of them won the AFLCA player of the year award. #head****ed by Geelong on show

Holmes is an accumulator and probably won't play well in finals.Didn’t see Max Holmes in the AA team anywhere did you?
Does it not worry you that given all the problems in the world at the moment, and granted you DO seem to pay some attention to some serious ones at times, but the one you spend the most time worrying about appears to be the bias shown by an arbitrary governing body towards some guys who you have never met, who are employed to do nothing more than run around chasing a ball?
Get a life mate

Why are you so personally offended by those choices? AA Captain usually goes to the first picked player, Captain of the year goes to the best captainAnd you had Hawkins and Cameron captain and you have players like Joel Corey and Tom Stewart getting 7 or 8 AA's and Vlastuin gets none.

Holmes is the opposite to an accumulator, he's a speed demon. Serong is an accumulator.Holmes is an accumulator and probably won't play well in finals.
Elliot over Bailey for mine given it's already got the fwd/mid in Pickett. I dont think many Lions fans thought he'd get in. Bailey is an absolute superstar when on though so not too aggrieved, deserves at least one nod in his career.
It's an absolute joke that Jeremy Cameron is captain. He's a selfish full forward who couldn't captain a sinking ship.
Bagging goals at Kardinia Park isn't worth a pinch of salt.
Absolute laugh out loud joke.
This home and away award has lost all credibility like the Brownlow has.
Have a look at the selectors-Andrew Dillon (administrator(Chair),) Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Nathan Buckley, Kane Cornes( professional bully who bullied this commitee), Abbey Holmes(TV presenter), Glen Jakovich (played 20 years ago and never coached), Laura Kane(administrator) and Matthew Pavlich.
Cornes would have told everyone what to say.
I thought Battle was ridiculously stiff not to be in the initial AFL.com 'make your own AA team' squad before the official one was announced.
Felt justified that he ended up making the squad. Didn't think he'd make the side, but that's mostly because it felt like the media and this forum were really pushing Worrell and Vlaustin.
I obviously watched a lot of Hawks games, but thought Josh certainly had an All Australian quality season in 2025.
I guess the argument from people will be that Worrell and Vlaustin were still better.
I heard David King ask Cornes about that this morning. He said that a big factor in who they select is recognition of a good body of work over the years, rather than based on leadership qualities.Nice recognition of Cameron imo, arguably the best player this year but the awards will all go to the mids as usual
Cornes saying Battle takes the best forward... and says Vlastuin & Battle play different roles, they both play intercept roles.
the only difference is their height.
Vlastuin is better in most statistical areas, so is Worrell
“As a nine-person selection committee, yes.” it's pretty obvious that Battle was Cornes call he is such a bias fanboy.

Four mids on the bench? King and Cornes discuss the All-Australian team
There were some glaring omissions.www.sen.com.au
Clark deserved it.I have to say I'm disappointed Jackson didn't make it (I also didn't expect him to make it) but unless they go full send with two ruckmen in the final team I don't think he does anything but make the squad each year.
Extremely proud of Clark and Serong though, three years in a row for Serong and I was worried that Clark was going to get screwed over here, but I'm glad they actually recognised him.
He absolutely did, he's been our best defender all year, was worried he'd suffer from the usual outcome of the AFL putting players in positions they don't play just so they could make the team, but I'm glad it didn't turn out that way.Clark deserved it.
Just goes to show which club you play for matters.I thought Battle was ridiculously stiff not to be in the initial AFL.com 'make your own AA team' squad before the official one was announced.

Yep- good on him and he’s such a hard worker too. Runs all day.He absolutely did, he's been our best defender all year, was worried he'd suffer from the usual outcome of the AFL putting players in positions they don't play just so they could make the team, but I'm glad it didn't turn out that way.
