It really gets down to whether Bobby is prepared to commit to playing for the team.
I love Bobby, but if he isn't fully committed, we are better off trading him and getting the best possible return.
The problem is that he might want to commit but is mentally unable to follow through at the moment.
I hope he isn't heading for a breakdown. :(
Just think, a few months ago he was happy with a new contract he had his partner and kids, then suddenly his world collapsed.
Bobby is the sort of person who wears his heart on his sleeve, or at least that's how I see him.
I don't see how this can be resolved happily for all concerned unless he and his partner somehow get back together and she moves back to Melbourne.

I hope Bobby gets to a healthy space and stays

If he wants to leave:
Seems I’m in the minority but I’m not trading for less than what I think is hes worth
He’s staying on the list and I’m giving him as much time as he needs in WA and playing him when we can

Do you want that Distraction to stay at the Club?

I think Bobby will train as hard as possible before finals. That’s my gut feel.

And I don’t think he will leave.
He isn't playing finals. If you're not training in the week of the final home and away match, then l doubt you're going to be playing in the finals or anywhere near match conditioned.
As Bruzzy said in the presser, "We love Bobby and he makes us better but we have business to take care of" That sounds to me that Bobby is on the shelf until the season is done, and then his future will be discussed then....

As much as I love watching Bobby play and think we miss him around goals, i think we’ll get two picks from WCE- 14 and 19.

What happens with those picks is anyone’s guess (Trac?)

We are not getting a top 10 pick for a bloke who doesn’t even come to training.

Before people have a go at me ask yourself would you pay a top 10 pick for JUH?
Think there is a fairly large difference between JUH and bobby hill.

Bobby’s situation involves his wife and his young kids and potential homesickness. Which could potentially be resolved by bobby moving to WA. There is only so much in bobby’s control.

JUH on the other hand is just a player who has serious self discipline issues and mingles with the wrong crowd on a repeated basis.

Think clubs are smart enough to distinguish the 2 , and bobby has never shown any prior behaviour of missing training or anything to even remotely indicate he has discipline issues.

This is a dayne beams situation again, only slightly more delicate because of the people involved. So his trade value won’t be impacted.

What makes us think he’s misses will want him to see the kids or even be in the same state. She obviously fled to WA to get away from him. I have no idea what happened or anything but just going by what she did, him moving to WA may cause more issues??
I don’t know and don’t care to guess but cause we don’t know we have to look at all options. He might stay here another year to give her space, work out things so that at least if he goes back he can see the kids, which he obviously adores, we’ve all seen the videos he lights up when they are around.

There’s a lot of water to go under this bridge. I’m playing hard on this one. I’m going Tim Kelly on this, stay unless we get exactly what we want. Play the ultimate hard ball.

Lol there is a serious double standard. JUH has spoken about the challenges of having multiple family members he was close to die in a short space of time and the effect that has had on him.

Before all of that JUH has considered a star on the rise having just won the Dogs goal kicking

You realise that fathers have a right to see their children?

The significant issue is why his wife took the kids and moved back to Perth. I don't think she just woke up one morning and decided she was tired of Melbourne.

So you'd like/expect him and the club to tell us why they broke up?

It's really no one else's business why.

He caused our poor performance? Our mystifying selections? Our poor delivery I50? Our slow start against GCS? Etc

Our Form Dropped off Badly since this Started

No. Where did I suggest that? I said the whole key to what is going on rests on that question. Why did she grab the kids and head for Perth? That's a fact. I in no way implied it should made public or discussed in any public forum. You are simply desperate to virtue signal and wish I had suggested it.

Well that is not something we or anyone are in any position to speculate on. Nor is it fair to pin something like this on bobby, cant be responsible for someone suddenly having homesickness issues.
