I’d actually take a contrarian view myself. He’s been a regular only since 2021 and quality rucks are playing well into their 30’s at the moment. I’d go into 2029 with triggers for 2030 without second guessing the decision.

He’s also every bit a $1m player given he’s currently the number 2 player on our list (and top 3 league wide behind only Xerri and TDK) so if we can get a deal to work for six figures given his output I’ll take that. He really is a more complete Grundy so far in 2025 with not only comparable ball winning numbers to 18-19 Grundy, but the marking prowess that Grundy never had.

My friend's mum the cheapest place she could get was Mernda and that was close to 1M for an average house. Can only imagine closer to the city.

Cameron holds his own with TDK who seems to be worth more than a milion per year.
Darcy should be paid what he's worth.

He was never going to get games in a midfield that had Rowell, Anderson, Flanders’s and Humphries who occupy the inside mid roles.

He should seek to leave really come seasons end as he’s unlikely to play many games in 2025.

I agree, he should have. Good on him for backing himself, but the writing was on the wall.

On the flipside, that bad decision could work in our favour as Davies sitting in the ressies all year, and with no contract, on the back of fairly limited opportunities for 2 of the 3 years prior, makes it tough for them to argue he's worth much in exchange.

He's been mentioned on here the last year or so. Personally, I think 3 players over 193cm in the midfield is too tall. I'd prefer a smaller player with lots of pace. I don't think he'd be in our thinking but that doesn't mean we aren't into him

But when we package Davies up with Rowell (180cm) or Humphrey (185cm), plus Nick it evens out a little.
