Trading for anyone big will be difficult given we need to keep as many picks as possible for our tied prospects.
That’s true, Jen, but I think we see Rowell as the perfect complement to what we have

I think future picks we’ll be important to us in the next 2 years as we use them to both stock up with NGAs and FSs and to trade in at least one midfield jet

I think the club can then manage the list after that for 5 years via internal growth, low-cost options and FA, until the draft stops being compromised by Tas.

If Cameron wants to go home, I'd let him. There's no point holding a player to ransom, all very cordial.
I'd probably check a few lists and see who is worth acquiring, see who will be starved of opportunities.
Goad, Moyle, Reeves, Lemmy...
Blokes that won't get a game ahead of a decent ruck, no point looking at anyone who is close to getting the main gig when an experienced ruck is about to retire, ie Verall at the Dees.
Tom Campbell hasn't played for us yet, maybe go after him, another notch on his bedpost.

If we only want to offer 3x700K vs WCE offering say 4x875K and the chance to move home, he may have to think about it.

I am really on the fence with this as I expect us to do our best to contend again next year, but letting Cameron go while his value is high and our list needs a bit of regeneration might end up a win-win.

Really depends on what our options are in terms of a replacement and what we can do with the currency Camo nets us.

Let’s say we got Rowell + Moyle in return? Or Reid and then ROB as a FA?
It would take significantly more than that sort of difference to convince him to move. If WC went full crazy and offered him $1m a year he might think about it, but even then I don’t think it’s likely. The threat of him going to WC is posturing from his management, nothing more.

Please target NM vfl team, they have way to much talent squirrelled away!

We don’t need to draft them though. If someone like Rowell or other is available, we shouldn’t be passing so we can draft blokes rated in the 2nd/3rd round.

I reckon Tom and McCarthy are locked, after that who knows.

Maybe it’s 3x700k (2.1m) vs 5x900k (4.5m)? I don’t know what it could be exactly, but WCE may not mind offering extra years at good money, knowing they’ll be rebuilding anyway.

Location may be a large factor for him too. Or it may not. But it’s certainly enough to have enticed some players in the past to move.

Yeah, they are. Wouldn't have been picked up if he couldn't kick. Plenty playing AFL who kick it just as bad or good.

If we're in the market for a young ruck primed to take the first ruck mantle, I'd go hell for leather after Madden, the GWS ruckman. I watched him when our VFL team played GWS last week, and he looked like an awesome prospect. Young but already a bull.

EDIT: I see he's already been mentioned.

I don’t. I just don’t see any player moving from a premiership contending team to the shit show that is WC. It’s career suicide.
If he’s a x2 premiership player there’s a possibility it could be a different discussion. He’s not likely to ever play in a contending WC so it’s in preparation of retirement in WA and he won’t get another contract offer like this. If we don’t win it all this year I’m with you and don’t see it at all.
