They aren’t necessarily comparable from the way they play, but Perryman plays more footy.

I reckon we had Silvagni until St Kilda came with the godfather offer.

I also just think, it’s an easier option for him.

Going to Collingwood wouldn’t been too much for the Silvagni name in terms of copping backlash.

I really wanted him, and I think 750k is about his upper limit.
So no knock on the club here, but they’d want to be looking at big key backs in the offseason before anything else.

I'm sure the club would still be on the look out for a key back, considering we obviously identified it as a need with our offer to Jack.

I think in the very short term we do. Against a very tall forward line a defence of Moore-Frampton-Howe-Bruz-IQ-Houston+Josh with Reef, Parker as depth is good enough.

It’s post Howe retirement that we look shaky because we have no third/interceptor good enough to cover Billy’s shortcomings and Darcy’s brain fades and no B/A grade tall coming.

So 100% still a need but we don’t have to sort it out this off season. Same with a mid to be a partner to Nick, we can survive a year with Pendles Sidey still around and Pez moving there. But any longer than this and I’d argue it’s a bigger need than KPD (hence the Rowell hard chase).

I think club are juicing up the backline and tweaking the midfield
Looks like they are thinking about grabbing a 195cm WAFL KPD and other local options
I’d say maybe an extra mid before we go hard at mids and KPF at the end of 2026

Happy Silvagni isn’t coming to us.

Yeah I was never excited about the prospect of him potentially joining us, but obviously thought he'd be a handy addition.
We need to recruit a young KPD, have high hopes for Coghlan/Jiath to break into the seniors over the next 12 months.

Surely he's not sooking it up over being dropped to the point that he'll request a trade, I'd be staggered.
