Cam McKenzie reminds me a lot of Joe Richards, always looks composed and makes great decisions when they get the footy. A good ball user and would be a great midfielder to get. Husthwaite I think is also a good player to look at, these players just need time and confidence, and worth pursuing. And if Zac goes to the Hawks there will be no spot for them.
I think they're lower rung team targets. Might end up good, but they'll only move to play now and if they're mid only guys, they're not coming to us as they'll be in the same position.

Clubs often give unwanted players plenty of notice that they would be advised to start shopping themselves around. In fact it’s fair and reasonable that they do, to give them and their managers maximum lead time.
they know by May

And Fly didnt lie about the meeting/s
I think Essendon should move from defence to offence and say "as loud as possible", that Zac is a required player and can only be transferred for the following:

Haw: James Sicily, Jai Newcombe and a 1st Rounder
ESS: ZM & a 4th Rounder

Let there be unrest in the Hawks camp thinking they will not be able to dispatch 2nds players to satisfy Essendon.

Otherwise, he is retained and any to any other club that might be interested, you all now know the asking price.

The hawks can have Merrett. If they land him, that takes them out of the butters race. We need to throw all the resources at getting him across either this season or next.

But according to the media, Hawks/Geelong always have cap space, irrespective of how many players they sign.

And we are the opposite, never have cap space, despite many senior players on unders.

Keane was always weak as piss and this finals campaign is showing it.

Glad he Decided to stay a Crow when we chased him last year

I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes out that Keane has had an AC joint injury that requires surgery that he has been carrying for a month

He's not a good one-on-one defender. Could never defend a leading player. Good intercepter, though. Can get by with that most of the time these days, as teams are so good at filling leading space and working as a unit. Exposed last night.

He was hung out to dry by their midfield and Nicks last night. Two of them were on him because he chose to guard space forward of the contest thinking Gunston wouldn’t get involved, but two of the others (at least) were due to their defensive grid being poor. If Murray goes to Gunston and Keane can get a bit busier going the other way on Lewis I think they hold up a lot better defensively.

Apart from G.Ablett Jnr anyone else think of big names leaving the Cattery once they get there?

Wouldn’t mind poaching Biclavs to Pies

Gunston is a smart footballer/forward like Jez Cameron. Do you think if Gunston was at Collingwood this year he’d have had same success up forward or it’s his supply by Hawks?

Blicavs is ancient enough to slot right in.

Chapman, Stevie J, Varcoe, Stokes & Christensen all left from that 2011 team, off the top of my head. Seemingly all their small forwards now that I think about it…

Twilight of their careers and done so quietly that I couldn’t remember. Even Varcoe that came to us. Or has it just been that long a week for me 😜

Those Cats are a stealthy bunch.

Love to see the pies snag Buku or possibly Jai Serong.

Frampton aside from a couple of games has had a really good season IMO.

He and Moore have both looked really good with Howe there providing coverage.

I think Buku/Jai could play that Howe role, even play alongside Howe next year and have crisp, perryman or Q spend more time up the ground
Khamis has got to be the most overhyped oppo player on this board.

He’s not actually that good.
