I really hope we give Treloar a 1 year deal with a trigger.

When fit he becomes our 2nd best mid and with pace helps that midfield.

I can't see much of a risk with a 1 year deal it's no risk all reward.

Wasn’t there a link between the two recently? No doubt Melbourne would offer Checkers an extra few years. The feel is that they really like him.

With Westy coming through, there’s no surprise why we haven’t offered more.

As harsh as it may be, I'd be trading Mihocek for Petracca in a heartbeat. He's exactly what they need.

Obviously we'd need to send more but taking on the full contract would help.

Edit: It's already been highlighted that Mihocek is a free agent.

Melbourne believe their bounce won’t be the dead cat version. Mihocek has free agency. Ash and Fin don’t have much market value. Petracca would be difficult.

The Dogs are making sure he has the required fitness for a further year. Treloar has stated he wants to play at the Dogs.
Our list places are short. This risks player development. I was on the Stringer was a great unfit for our list. He had injuries through the year for GWS and off those injuries he didn’t deliver in the finals. Treloar I didn’t want to lose. But now with injuries and poor disposal sadly I think not. Our rehabilitation group are well practised.

Agree - we prioritised Longs development and were rewarded.
It’s time to give the kids with 3 plus years in the system opportunities.

Both Mihocek and Hill would probably have to go. Partly to find the cap room, but also the trade capital. I don’t love that scenario.

We're not gonna pay 1.3M a year for someone almost 30
