With McKercher and FOS joining the likes of LDU, Sheezel and Wardlaw next year in the midfield, I'd say we'll be pretty well set up for a decade.

Maybe another bull to give Wardlaw a chop out.

As horrible as it is saying this - knowing our list needs up forward - we are probably a couple of solid, role playing defensive running mids short of making any progress up the ladder.

Scott falling off the face of the earth has been a real blow. But FOS will be a gem, especially when he can transition into the mid rotation.

Collingwood, Hawthorn, Sydney put contracted blokes up for trade all the time if they don't fit the vision for the club.

I find it hard to imagine that over this rebuild we've had one, just one, that doesn't fit the mould. Anyone would think we had a list full of stars.

We simply don't put the work in of other teams when it comes to recruiting. Most clubs are in regular contact with state league clubs

We will either trade our 2nd rounders for burnt out bums other teams dont want or we will acquire players that are no good on long term contracts/big money.

We simply cannot compete anymore in this space.

The only hope we had was building through the draft and we entrusted this component to an absolute ****ing hack who has butchered the list beyond belief.

Its over.

Signor Rawlings has taken trading to another level. We've just gotta hope the AFL allows clubs to trade future 1st round picks not only for the following year, but future picks 4-5 years ahead.
Imagine the wizardry Signor Rawlings & Master Viney can orchestrate with those levers to pull.....

As I keep saying, Signor Rawlings nose what he's doing.
