I've got a few mates who are Saints supporters and it'd be fair to say that they love a whipping boy even more than we do. Silvagni should transition seamlessly into this role.

Even in our darkest times, I always have the unshakable belief that we are closer than the Saints to our next flag.
pity andromeda is nearer than both :-(

That's ok. More supply on the KPD market means more available for us.

If they get Wilkie, then we have a better chance of getting one of Butts or Young.
According to a Richmond contact, Young is expected to re-sign for two years.

Or we could you know just go hard for Wilkie as well?
Wilkie would be great but we aren't in the premiership window, so it would be silly to spend what little draft capital we have on a bloke who will be 30 at the start of next year's season.

We could get a 5+ year solution out of Butts or Young for a second rounder I reckon.

Brady Rawlings exists to bail out other clubs from their shit drafting decisions.

I think the club should be forward thinking and ask all other clubs to contribute to Brady’s wage as he benefits them more than us.

They are literally purchasing a flag. That’s their last piece of the puzzle.

They didn't even make the eight, the first piece is addressing their on/off footy... and getting a better coach.

If we give a second rounder for Young might be time to forcefully remove Brady and co.

Carlton will get handsomely compensated for a player of Silvagni's capabilities.

Silvagni gets a pay day he'd never likely dreamed of.

St Kilda get Jack Silvagni.

Interesting times

Sore point! First club in maybe forever to win 14 games and not play finals, so a little unlucky - and the whole AFL fraternity knows it’s their backline that is the issue, fix that and look out.

I am not going to criticise what St Kilda is doing because with Ross Lyon (assuming he's endorsed all their targets) they may actually know what they are doing. I wouldn't be surprised if they are able to push for finals next year. Their biggest challenge will be managing any internal player unrest, which may well happen as a result of such contracts being handed out. We should watch this space and be ready to pounce. It certainly does our chances of landing Windhager no harm
