I never mentioned Bayside City Council in any of my posts. I spoke of a lifestyle in the Bayside suburbs of Melbourne that is in fact very close to St Kilda training base, that's all

And rightly so coming off the back of the Daniel trade, that's why I'm not losing my shit, he takes up a list spot for 3 years that's it. Hopefully he comes good and contributes us to us winning more games next year, if not he's just another player on the list.

I've posted this before but it bears repeating, it's a very shallow pool we're swimming in we're not going to attract much more than fringe best 22 players until we improve, people need to make peace with that.

But how do we improve if we don’t attract top tier players?

We are just stockpiling dead wood on 3 & 4 year deals.

drafting kids is very much an unknown too, which can result in stockpiling too, albeit not 3/4 yrs

Darling and Mihocek will both be 33 at the start of next season. What is the point of Mihocek apart from him stalling the development of a young key forward? Surely that is in our immediate plans.

That’s the point, 2 years for kids over pick 20 in the national draft and as low as 1 year for rookie listed players. Not 3 or 4 years for fringe players that have already been weighed and measured and deemed not that good by one team already.

I’d rather keep the bottom 3 than the top 3, more upside. And it would be lunacy to keep 5 or 6 of them.

They are all fighting for the one spot aren’t they?

Leaves 1 spot? Not to mention Duursma and George are hopefully in the mix too.

There is nothing thats says we have to rush our younger players , so if it happens that they mature in the vfl for another season then so be it...Players like Darling , Parker and even Daniels help to mature our team faster so adding Mihocek might also help.

There's even a school of thought which says that adding a few dickheads to our team might give them a bit more edge and intensity.

Totally forgot about River… it’s a position which is taking up the most list spots yet it’s still the weakest.

Gnome gag recognised (and enjoyed), if River outlives Cooper, George and Zac on the list - which he looks destined to in part - it certainly ain't on any VFL or U18 output I'm privy to.

Either there's deep AFL potential they're seeing behind the scenes or nepo is alive and well because no disrespect but he'd be first out from that group for mine.
