That would make more sense getting him to our vfl list

All his stats are below average except clearance disposals which increase to average...Perfect player for Brady to get.

plenty on here that have whinged about Lever and Mio too.. so maybe just go with Windy, Butts and Stars, of which only Stars looks like a definite no at this stage

I just wouldn't go all in on someone who is 30 years old and will cost lots of draft capital to get them.
I don't think we've build the team yet to contend. Still a lot of work to do down back and with the depth.
He's going to leave for a Cats or Hawks anyway if he's after success, so it's pure hypothetical.

The Adelaide Crows are probably the team where he would make the most difference, between them being finalists and genuine contenders.

His stats don't show he only played two full games in the 9 games he played this year (vGWS & vCarlton). The others he was only on the field for 1 Q, maybe 2.
Personally I love the way this lad goes about his footy and I've expressed my disappointment that Port delisted him. I've followed his career quite closely from an under-ager prior to his draft year as a North Adelaide supporter.
I don't think Port got the best out of him and I'm hopeful there's more to come. Lad hasn't had a pre-season without coming back from a surgery yet either - this year could have been his year at Port.
If there are concerns about his committment, due to the size of his body - look around ... it's the same story for most of the young lads at Port. Whilst Jackson should/could do it himself - there obviously hasn't been much encouragement from the fitness bosses or the leadership group at Port (I hear Rozee & Butters don't like to do extras in the gym either, so not setting the best example for the young lads). From what I hear takes place at the neighbouring Adelaide Crows on this front - Port does absolutely nothing!
Watch the first half of Port v Carlton R16 on 7Plus, if you want to see how he can go about it.
Anyhow, I hear he's already started his pre-season and I hope he lands somewhere and shows Port what for!

Merrett is a gun and would improve our midfield enormously however what we would have to pay would be huge in trade capital. On one hand I’m effing sick of losing and want players who could move the needle like him. He carries the bombers midfield and lifts every time they need him. We just do not have anyone on our list like that. If LDU could get his head out of his arse for 3 quarters of a game, these two could be a lethal combination.

As a supporter, it's probably best to wait until we can land one of them B graders before we actually start expecting we will.

Daniel is a better kick, and believe it or not, is more defensively accountable.

I really dunno either way, but I do think its tiime we start questioning why players are on the outter at other clubs and exercise a degree of caution....flanders has gone from one of the Suns best players under Dew (when they were struggling) to borderline best 22 under Dimma when they playing finals. So sure take him as a role player if he seeking better opportunities, but not one you pay up massively for a in a bidding war if we aspire to seriously climb the ladder.

Find it a bit weird that we’re seemingly committing to fringe depth before knowing if we’ll keep our extended list.

Sheer stupidity making list moves on players who aren’t in high demand prior to knowing if we’ll keep our extra list spots.

I think we’ll keep them but unless confirmed it’s unnecessary to go this early.
