No they should not. They should be made to play in the VFL for the rest of their contracts and THEN sacked...

Maybe then some players will change their attitude in regards to their insipid performances week in and week out.

Jumping on the end of the thread so sorry if it’s been brought up already, but how nice the AFL is looking at free agents being able to go to lower clubs without any penalty if that club is losing a free agent. Would have been a handy tweak a couple of years ago.

Lever would be an upgrade over Logue or Corr. But honestly, that's not saying much at the moment.
I wouldn't wanna give up a R2 pick for him. It reeks of the Daniel trade all over again.

We have the salary cap space, why wouldn't we go after Leek Aleer instead? Not sure how much St Kilda would have in their kitty after getting TDK and needing a big upgrade on NWM.

People must be very satisfied with the Logue, Pink, WDawson, Corr, KDawson, Comben KPD combination that's been working so so well for the last 3 years, that we can say no to an All Australian, Premiership key defender.

Caleb Daniel is also an All Australian, premiership player as well. But that was in the past and certainly not consistent with the player he is today. The same applies for Jake Lever.
