2026+2027 first rounders. Easy.

Both would completely transform our midfield group. Out of the two, I would probably choose Merrett as he is one of the best captains in the game. Pure jet.

They were kept as back up. We already have back-up level key defenders, we don't need more. If we can land a gun, we should try, but otherwise we are waiting and hoping for Dawson and Whitlock to develop. With some luck, Dawson is ready next season.

Colby is our Merrett so pass. Butters would be awesome but we again run into the problem with how do we fit al the mids in?

I’m of the strong opinion that if a free agent wants to go to a club that finished the H and A season in the top 4, you cannot just chose them, a trade should be the only way to get there. No trade, well then go to a club outside the top 4. Unless the club losing them is in the top 4 then it doesn’t matter. The middle and lower teams will never compete
