Like many, he inhabits that liminal space between being too good for VFL and not good enough for AFL.

The real question is how long we hold onto these types.

And the consensus is that we hold onto them for too long.

But he has another two years to run on his contract. So theres that.

Yes he's certainly on the fringe. Probably not quite best 22. But every list needs them. How many you hang onto and for how long is the tricky bit. In a low injury season like we've had this year they don't get many chances but in the years when we have 10-12 at a time on the injury list you need a few.

There's also the possibility that he can still polish those rough edges a bit. He's 24 already but has had a lot of sideline time with injuries.
