Considering we know 2 of the games. We can probably assume Collingwood is Friday.
With the same 5 game at AO setup as last year, we can work out one of Hawks, Cats or bombers are going to be away from AO.
Cats and hawks can’t play Friday, Essendon won’t play Collingwood and the AO game on Sunday is Port v Saints.

I’m guessing Essendon gets shunted. If not maybe us cats 😯

Feels like Pies will play Dogs or Cats at AO

So Carlton you think will be...

Round 0 v Swans (Thurs night confirmed)
Round 1 v Tigers (Thurs night)
Round 2 BYE?
Round 3 ???
Round 4 v Nth Melb (Good Fri)
Round 5 v Crows (Thurs night)
Thought Carlton weren’t getting much prime time love this year, seems crazy to follow that up with their first 4 games being prime time

Could always be two Adelaide Oval games on the Sunday? Have they ever said they won't do this?

Would be silly to fixture Hawthorn away from AO in my opinion. We're in a pretty sweet spot for bigger attendances now we're challenging again, and have a strong following in South Australia.

They did it in year one but people were leaving after the game they wanted to watch. So it was a sell out but a half empty stadium on TV

I actually feel like they need to discourage people from attempting to get tickets to EVERY game anyway.

We frustratingly missed out on seeing the Dogs vs Brisbane at Norwood, but there were people posting on here about how they were leaving games super early just to get to the start of another one. We would have enjoyed having those tickets far more than others who were just trying to win some endurance attendance challenge.

Friday night - AO 7.40

Brisbane v ?
Barossa - 12.35

I could see Melb playing either Barossa or Norwood.

Maybe Melbourne v North at the Parade?

Sounds like Geelong are playing West Coast again. That could be a game at the Parade on the Saturday or Sunday.

Will depend if they do the two separate games/tickets for AO on the Saturday, or go back to the double header.

Essendon v Sydney on Saturday arvo and Hawks v Dogs on the Saturday night.

My predicted Gather Round fixture is:

Thursday Night (AO): Adelaide vs Carlton
Friday Twilight (Norwood): Melbourne vs North Melbourne (Could also be on Saturday, but hate there being that much overlap)
Friday Night (AO): Collingwood vs Freo
Saturday Arvo (Barossa): Richmond vs Gold Coast
Saturday Arvo (AO): Essendon vs Sydney
Saturday Night (AO): Hawks vs Dogs
Sunday Arvo (Barossa): GWS vs Brisbane
Sunday Arvo (Norwood): Geelong vs West Coast
Sunday Night (AO): Port vs Saints
